This is definitely not on the Italian level cuisine they would have you believe (if you have really been to Italian places, not touristy or cheap knock-offs). However everything was generally ok for us. Service was prompt and attentive, even though not great English. Online reservation and phone change of hour was very smooth. Food was decent. Pizza was quite good. Pasta was decent. Fish was ok. Caprese was nice. Mussels were only ok. Atmosphere and ambiance were pleasant.
All dishes came at a different time. Almost everyone (party of 6) ate separately. Pasta was overcooked and the size was 3/4. (50g extra would’ve been the correct size, but 2022 inflation, am I right?) Most food was almost cold. This might be because of too little kitchen personnel for so many tables or because of premade reheated dishes (second is what I read in another review from a local). Price for a Caprese (2leva mozarella+0.5leva tomato) is 13leva… I mean… it is a cheap Italian dish appetizer, it should be priced accordingly. Extra mozzarella pizza has no “extra” mozzarella. Nutella lasagna had almost no Nutella. (I have eaten “Nutella” things in a lot of places- some good some not so good, but in most they actually had nutella or some hazelnut chocolate, but here it was to say the least, “scarce”. Asked for a pasta to not have truffle and it came with truffle. So not very attentive for requests. Felt touristy at times and also you can see it’s part of a chain that semi-industrialized restaurants. (Not the best for us but maybe something that is a plus for others)
All in all we are not disappointed, because on holiday we want to try everything and they had good enough food. I am leaving such a detailed review for the folks that set a certain level of expectation, to try to ground them a bit. Also, Burrata, please try bringing the food at the same time and not warm-ish. If you do those 1 star extra would be warranted. Until...
Read moreOn my visit to Varna with my best friend from college and his family we ended up by the sea and Burrata Italiana for dinner.
We initially walked by and I saw this sailboat docked by the restaurant. Tables were setup and people were enjoying a meal aboard the ship. Being a tourist and having 2 little kids with us I convinced my friend to see if we could grab a seat. Fortunately a group just left and there was an open table.
I wouldn't call this fine dining but this was probably the nicest restaurant along the port. Everyone was driving their nice cars and dressed up which was a stark contrast to us. I could see many couples here enjoying a nice romantic meal. Fortunately, the servers were very accommodating despite our very casual family attire and having 2 little kids.
The meal was a great experience. We got a seat on the farside of the boat that looked out to the sea. As we waited for our food another boat pulled up with people celebrating and playing music. They waved to us and the other patrons as they floated by. The whole atmosphere was great and the kids were enjoying every minute.
The service was excellent and food was good. The menu had a lot of options both for salads, seafood and pizza. We got a couple salads, drinks and split a pizza. The kids and I got dessert at the end of the meal to cap things off. What I really appreciate is the option for healthier desserts/food on the menu as I try to eat clean.
I would definitely come back to this location as they were so accommodating to our group. If you are ever in the area I'd recommend eating on the boat. It does cost a little extra to be on board but It's a...

It rhymes, it strives, but most importantly, it’s very nais.
Now, because this is my very first restaurant review, I should inform that this will seem more like a praise rather than an actual review. It is just because I had an unforgettable experience.
The entrance of the restaurant is, from my perspective, promising and elegant. The decoration inside the restaurant is very well-made. The chairs are immensely comfy and the music is quite enjoyable.
The salads were good enough. Decent starters. Light and bright.
The pizza is perfect. Like, perfectly perfect. The crust was quite crispy and the sauce was savory and delicious. Best pizza I’ve ever had in a while. And the pizza box has an impressive design.
Oh boy, the pasta. The pasta was absolutely phenomenal. The truffle and burrata bucatini is hands-down my new favorite. Seriously, the first bite had me lost in flavors. It’s a must-have in my opinion.
Last, but definitely not least, the dessert. The ice-cream was great, but not as great as the limoncello cake. It was cheerful, adorable and sweet and it’s also a must-have.
With everything that I’ve said so far, I’m pretty confident to say that we made the right choice to eat at Burrata Italiana. I’m looking forward to recommend this restaurant to my friends and relatives.
If only I could’ve given more...
