Although this place has a lively cheerful atmosphere, the service is not very customer friendly, and the food is not that great nor fresh.
We had shrimp with butter - had measly 5 shrimps and served very salty! Salt was the main flavor for this dish grilled vegetables - came with one mushroom, some slices of red pepper, carrots, and zucchini; The zucchini was very bitter due to being old / not fresh produce Bulgarian salad - nothing special; had small amount of shredded cow cheese, Rather than the nice feta cheese Lastly but most importantly we had the crispy mushrooms - before ordering, we told the waiter in Bulgarian (my boyfriend is Bulgarian) that if this crispy mushroom is deep fried, we don't want it - he said that it is lightly pan fried. However, when the dish came out, it was clearly deep-fried, and the waiter lied and he told us that he never said that it was not deep fried AND refused to take the dish back!
The food here is in meager portion and not that great not using fresh produce and lies to you about the preparation of the dish. We would not come back here ever! And we would not suggest this place...
Read moreThe food is very delicious, the starter salads are a bit of the same - everything has the same base of lettuce and the toppings added vary by the dish or maybe it was just the 4 we ordered:) The main dishes were excellent, the lemonade was divine - sour and fresh like it is supposed to be and not with tons of sugar like everywhere else. One thing - our waiter was not very sympathetic to the fact that we had a toddler dining with us - every request regarding it seemed like a nuisance to him, at least that is what he exhibited on the outside. And our daughter behaved divine - for a toddler her age (21 months). Later the place got busier and the waiter was changed to a much more welcoming person which definitely upgraded our experience even more:) Nevertheless, overall we had a great time, we can only recommend it to anyone traveling to Varna! Maybe we will even go there again if we manage to squeeze it in to...
Read morePleasant place, good coffee, delicious cake. Dinner dishes nicely served. The worst thing about this place is one of the waiters. Polite, but insolent. He arrogantly declared that we could not pay separate bills because we did not declare it at the beginning. Strange customs. He even claimed that it was not possible. After a firm reaction he said ok, we can pay separately. He comes up and asks "do you have a pen?". Surprised, I say 'no'. To which the waiter, to me as a customer. "Then I'll lend you mine, here's a piece of paper and write what you ate". Really? Is this how a waiter behaves towards a customer in a good restaurant? The customer has to write on a piece of paper what he ate? After another firm reaction, the guy deliberately prolongs the process of giving the bill. I have never encountered such insolence anywhere else. It's a pity, because the...
