Mr Baba — Restaurant in Varna

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere. Best views in Varna, you have the sea and the port right next to you and can enjoy amazing sunsets from this truly authentic pirate ship!

We had our wedding there 5 years ago and we couldn't have asked for a better experience and location. All our guests still praise the food and service to this day and keep saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to.

We keep returning to Varna every year when we can and of course no visit is complete without visiting Mr. Baba again. They keep their high level of quality for the amazing food and as well as the service of the staff. The whole team is friendly and the manager Dancho makes everything possible to accommodate every wish of the clients.

Their deserts are to die for and if you haven't tried the lavender panacota I highly recommend it.

It is a high sought restaurant so reservations for the evenings especially on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are a must if you don't like to wait. This year we visited on a Friday and for the whole duration of our long evening stay (since we like to try as many things as possible in our short stay in Varna) every table inside and outside on all the decks was full the entire time. This by itself speaks volumes of the quality and deliciousness of their food.

There is enough options for the meat lovers and the sea food lovers alike, whatever your heart desires.

They always use high quality fresh ingredients and if you do not know what to pick the waiters are more than happy to point you in the right direction based on your questions.

Every year we look forward to returning again to Mr. Baba!

Advise to the owner, change the arrogant hostess and the bad cook. visited on the 18/07/2023 at 8:00 PM local time. This restaurant doesn't deserve any star for rating, doesn't deserve even to visit. The beautiful view was ruined by arrogant hostess and staff attitude who think they are in position to deal with customers like primary school students!!!! The food was bad, tasteless, it was done in a rush!!!! I ordered a mixed appetiser as starter, and the main course was grilled octopus.. the appetiser was very salty and the main course was awful. I had the same in Greece and there is no comparison what so ever. The food was pricy and not cheap .. you could get better deals and much better food from across the road restaurants.

I saw the staff fooling customers claiming tables are reserved, but with little observation you see they change tables moving the signs around for passing by customers .. There were many empty tables and kept saying reserved while the real reason is to keep serving the closest table to avoid making extra effort to serve far away table!!! Silly attitude and shame to...

We visited the restaurant "Mr. Babá," which is located in a very interesting and thematic setting - a ship, which in itself creates a unique atmosphere. We were extremely satisfied with the overall experience. The ambiance was cozy yet evoked a spirit of adventure, adding extra charm to our visit.

One of the great conveniences was the ability to pay by card, which is a big plus nowadays. The orders arrived relatively quickly and were perfectly prepared. The calamari and fish were particularly impressive - very fresh and incredibly delicious. Last but not least, the desserts were also top-notch and perfectly rounded off our dinner.
