I was on a 19 day tour and this hotel was unfortunately a bit disappointing when compared to the other two I had stayed in so far for this trip. I stayed for 2 nights in a room on the 3rd floor on the street side and while the balcony was really nice, it was noisy next to the busy street. The door to the balcony also had space around it and you could see to the outside, so I was a bit worried about bugs and safety. The room was dated overall and bed was hard, which aren't big issues for me, but the washroom didn't seem to have been cleaned well, so I did have concerns about the overall cleanliness of the room and linens. In addition, the location isn't all that convenient, particularly for tourists who like to walk (ie you can walk, but it's a 20 plus min walk from many thing and you'll spend $3-4 US for a tuk tuk each way if you opt not to walk). ||The one thing that was truly excellent is that you can order off the dim sum menu for your included breakfast and the dim sum was amazing...some of the best I've had. The menu, which you sometimes need to ask for, also included noodle soups, fresh juices and lattes. The breakfast buffet, without the side menu, is decent and you can get eggs fresh prepared. Overall, if you're on a budget, you're a fan of dim sum and get a great deal, then it's decent, but otherwise it's worth passing on as a tourist. As a frequent traveller and avid Tripadvisor user, I'd suggest the 4/5...
Read moreI stayed at Almond Hotel multiple times during my visits to Phnom Penh and their excellent service continued to shine each time. I was there as a volunteer for Project Ankgor Medical Mission. We had a group of about 90 volunteers with us and the hotel staff did an amazing job accommodating all our needs. Our clinic in Tuol Prich was 1.5 hours from Phnom Penh so the hotel arranged the buffet breakfast to start at 0530 so we could head out each morning by 0630. Any food items that we needed for to go, the staff will kindly prepared for us free of charge. Extra activities and transportation were provided upon request as well. I stayed an extra four days after our mission ended because I got sick. I was bed ridden for two days and I really appreciated the maids looking in on me during their cleaning, also providing extra water and tea. They continued to check on my health after I got better. Restaurant staff kindly made me hot garlic and honey water, my mom's remedy for cough. All staff were always welcoming and willing to accommodate any requests. Their excellent service is the reason Project Angkor and I always return. Keep up the...

Check in on late night on 13 march and check out 15 march early morning. Everything was ok when I pass the room key to counter and went outside. Book a tuk tuk via app and was about to board the tuk tuk at the road when suddenly counter lady ran out and say "sir, sir, you didn't pay your hotel bills".
Went back inside hotel and feel that people/staff giving me the look as if I try to cheat the hotel. The reception then accused me of not paying for laundry. I ask them to show me the receipt and they show me a laundry receipt dated 12 march for room 316. I told them I check in on 13 night and therefore it's not mine. I left immediately as I was going for a business meeting. Wasted my time and luckily the tuk tuk was still outside waiting.
To the management, please re train your staff and ask them to double check before approaching a customer and saying they owe the hotel money and...
