Teav Bassac Boutique Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Khan Chamkar Mon

We picked this hotel because the location is near with our client location. Location wise it is still in the middle of the city. Small hotel with 3 floors. It has a small swimming pool right in front of the reception. It also has a small bar/restaurant and also provide spa service.|Room is spacious with comfy bed and pillows. Bathrobe and standard toiletry provided. Bathroom is also spacious with rain shower head, which is a nice surprise. Hotel theme is industrial so almost everything is using concrete. Wifi is working good. Not so much TV Channel to choose from. Another nice surprise is they have aromatherapy inside the room and i smell nice.|The only downside is there is not much cheap restaurant within walking distance. And there is a building construction in front of the hotel which is quiet noisy during the day. They also does not have an elevator so don't bring big suitcase if you plan on staying...

I stayed here in Feb 2017 (not June) for two nights as part of a month in SE Asia. The hotel is a lovely little green oasis of calm away from the city outside, with only a few rooms around the courtyard pool.||Mine was a Premier Double Room, which was actually a suite with a living area and kitchenette, big bedroom, a huge bathroom, and a balcony lined with greenery overlooking the pool. Easily my favourite room of the whole trip.||The staff were great, the food downstairs was good, and the pool was small but just enough to relax in after a day out in the chaos of Phnom Penh.||Lots of bars and restaurants nearby in what is quite an upmarket part of the city. Friendly staff and clean rooms, the pool is also nice. They also have 2 for 1 drinks. The shower was also great, hot water and good pressure. However 2 out of 3 of our groups rooms had inadequate air conditioning. It appeared that the unit was too small for the space - reaching only 2m in front and not even working in one room. It could not sufficiently cool the area. Staff were accommodating when asked to changes rooms however the air conditioner in this room was also inadequate. In one room water damage was evident in the ceilings and also had a hole in the roof. Decent hotel if you can put...
