Booked last minute and arrived about 10 minutes later. The owner Johnny the owner welcomed me as I arrived. It’s a family run place, newly opened. |The room was lovely very clean and a good ac unit. Lots of space. Two bottles of water were provided|Bathroom was clean and the shower power full and hot. |Also there is hammocks and tables to sit outside. |You can go up to the roof (realised on my 2nd day) and there is a great view of Siem Reap |Johnny was great at recommending tours the floating village was my favourite and a must. |The WiFi works great in all areas. |To get to town you can either walk 10-15 mins or get a tuktuk which are about $1-2|Best place I’ve stayed so far|Didn’t bother me at all but might be useful info. |Being new most tuk tuk drivers don’t know it yet I just told them rose Apple Road and then directed them (make sure you stress Road as there is hotels called rose Apple, you can show them on google maps or take a screenshot)|Water wasn’t replaced or room serviced but it’s not a Hotel. You can just ask Johnny and I’m pretty sure he would provide new sheets / towels / water depending on length of stay. |The place is down a narrow lane that is darkish at night - felt safe. |There is usually two dogs at a property just before on the other side of the road. They weren’t aggressive and didn’t come near me just in case you see them and feel threatened they are fine to walk past. |Non of this is negative just meant as...
Read moreThe stay was perfect from arrival, lots of information given about things to see in the area. Easy check in. Dorms were immaculate, it's a new hostel that has only been open a month or 2. New linen on all the beds and new towels, the dorms and bathroom spotless. Night lights and chargers by each bed and great a/c unit. Nice chill out areas in the front gardens with hammocks, palms and fruit trees, also a nice area on the rooftop to relax. Strong wifi everywhere inside and out. It's a family run hostel and they were very welcoming offering me their food and a lot of beer! Johnny the guy who runs it was helpful with everything even letting me use their mosquito spray when I ran out. Really good location as it's quiet enough to relax without much noise but only 5 mins walk from the centre which is full of places to eat and drink. This was my favourite hostel in 6 weeks of travelling around South East Asia. Would love to come back...
Read moreOur stay in Emily and Nana’s lodge was very enjoyable. Johnny was very helpful in booking us affordable transportation (free airport pickup!) and his family was very friendly.
Absolutely perfect location. 10min walk through a local neighborhood to Pub Street, markets; 5 min walk from restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. Laundry service right across the street!
Rooms are spacious and clean (everything is brand new) with cold AC. The bathroom has an awesome soaking tub.
The building itself is beautiful as well. Tile floors, intricately carved wooden doors, garden sitting/eating area, and a patio on the second floor (where we stayed).
Definitely recommend!
Thanks Johnny + family!!
