Gecko Hostel — Hotel in Siem Reap

I left a review on Hostelworld stating that I had to leave the property within 2 hours due to finding bedbugs. When I left, I showed the photos, was refunded, and it was agreed that these were indeed bedbugs. I also stated in my review that I understand and appreciate that this can happen in any hostel or hotel. I just checked my review and the response was "they were not bedbugs." As someone who has seen an adult bedbug before, and has access to the internet, I do not appreciate being accused of dishonesty. I am posting photos so that other people can decide for themselves. Nice little hostel for a great price! I stayed in an 8 bed dorm with comfy beds, privacy curtains, plug and light by bed, and air con in the bedroom. Super friendly and helpful staff that can help with recommendations and organising tours to all the local tourist spots. Nice, decent sized swimming pool. Lots of restaurants and cafes close by. 10 mins walk to the river and the centre of town, 5 mins walk to pub street (far enough away not to hear the noise) and 20 minutes scooter ride to the entrance of Angkor Wat. Most amazing hostel you could go to! They just opened a few weeks ago. The stuff is amazing, dinners together, karaoke nights, and private tours to Angkor Wat and other temples around if they have time. The owners are locals and one of the most amazing people I met during my travel. I ended up extending my stay several times. The hostel is super clean and really close to all the attractions in the city center like night and day markets, pub street, restaurants, coffee shops, the river… but it’s located in a quite street without loud music from bars and clubs.
