Certainty one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in for service! I booked in October 22 and upon arrival was told that the hotel was full and I would need to find somewhere else to stay, they were very sorry! I had a booking confirmation and had pre paid. I asked to see the manager and was told he was to busy to see me. I refused to leave, (where would I go), and after an hour waiting in reception they managed to find me a room. During that hour a group of people who were walk-ins managed to secure 2 rooms. It seriously felt like discrimination.
The next morning at 9.45am, after a well below average breakfast, I put the "make up the room" sign on my door and went out for the day. When I arrived back at 4.15pm the room had not been made up. When I questioned the staff they told me that housekeeping had been to busy to make up my room and again, they were sorry! I still haven't spoken with the manager, I guess he is still to busy to deal with issues concerning his guests, and I have still not received the complimentary vouchers that were included at the time of me booking the room. I'm not an unreasonable person however when I pre book, (3 months in advance) and pay in advance, I certainly expect better service than I have received. I now have 3 people buzzing round my room cleaning when all I want to do is rest and relax after a long day walking around Angkor Wat. I would recommend caution when booking this hotel through Agonda as the booking number and ID, together with pre-payment means nothing. You have...
Read moreDescent place but definitely not a 4*. Rooms are big and quite clean but could use some maintenance (nothing serious but details like broken soap holders in the bathroom etc). Staff was very friendly and polite did their best to help me. Special thanks to the guys at reception. The property haw two pools, the atmosphere is relaxed and the feeling u get is that of a beautiful and relaxed jungle garden. Ground floor plus two more floors. Avoid ground floor rooms the only entrance is through the window doors and u feel quite exposed. Cons: Location is around 1 km from the city centre so you either have to walk for not so short and the roads are quite dusty, or take a tuk tik which comes cheap btw 1$. Cons: everything looks disorganized / ordered lunchbox for early day trip to Angkor but I didn't get it, the staff apologized, were very polite but stayed without breakfast nevertheless. Special thanks to Trey he was so helpful and apologized for the inconvenience caused. House keeping didn't arrive till 15.00 so I fell asleep and left the room uncleaned for the second day. Tv had absolutely no signal Fridge wasn't working (they had pulled out the cable so I plugged it back in) Aircon remote was dead so the machine kept working all day and night long (it was freezing 🥶) Breakfast is a la carte not buffet and the amount of food is on the small side. All in all: cosy but average. Didn't meet...
Read moreSpent 3 nights at the hotel and it was hit and miss. Some excellent parts and some very poor parts lead to my mid range score. Location is good if you are looking for a quiet stay and don't mind walking in the heat for 15mins or so, otherwise will be paying $1-$2 each time to and from the city for a tuk tuk. I would also recommend paying a few extra dollars and opting for a pool view over the garden view, which is really a wall with some plants.||Hits:|Amazing lady at reception(Think her name was Sok), very cheery, hardworking and helpful, who tries her best to accommodate your needs.|Two beautiful pools to enjoy after a long day of temple hopping|Amazing foot massage from Macy at the spa, so relaxing!|Room was very spacious ||Misses:|Extended my stay by booking an additional night on booking.com.which the property cancelled. I believe it is so they avoid paying commission, then charged me a higher rate even though I had explained to reception twice that booking.com is better for me.|Booked a bus to Phnom Penh via night staff, was told the $17US included a pick up. When I followed up the following morning, tickets had not been booked and I was charged for a tuk tuk to the bus station.|Communication between staff seems to be poor, and some language barriers with English.| Toilet and bath had a yellow ring around and appeared to have not been cleaned...
