I DID NOT ENJOY MY STAY !!! ALSO, VERY, VERY SMALL UNCOMFORTABLE ROOMS and, to add, a POOR QUALITY extremely HIGH PRICED HOTEL (feels like youāre staying in a closet !!!
Extremely poor quality for an extremely HIGH PRICED HOTEL !!!
Also, to add, what made my stay, absolutely, worse, was āMariaā (donāt care if Iāve misspelled her name wrong) is / was Front Desk Attendant, I had to approach, and, as I recall from my first / last stay, she is horrible and I prefer to NEVER speak to her again !!! She, absolutely, needs to be replaced!!! Listening to her talk makes you cringe !!
This, so-called, Front Desk Attendant, āMariaā is a person who will brush you off with all kinds of excuses !!!!! She simply is NOT the person who will acknowledge your issue you present to her.
IMPORTANT to note: As soon as I walked into the hotel and saw Maria, I actually would have preferred to NOT stay as I was having to hear her voice / having to deal with her !!!
So, as I walked into the small hotel room (feels and looks like youāre staying in a closet), as I was to be in the room for most of the day, I wanted to check the TV Guide and was forced to called the Front Desk, and, unfortunately, again, I got this person called āMariaā whom I prefer to NOT talk to her.
She sent āSusieā who tells me she is the Head Housekeeper and witnessed the horrible TV scrambled guide and told me she will present this problem to whomever this may concern !!!!!
(I actually have āMariaāsā name on my āradarā in my contact list on my phone as to avoid her, if, at all possible, as she is a terrible Front Desk Attendant).
This Susie, ? Head Housekeeper, actually tried to teach me as the mature person, I am, as to how the Guide works !!!! Joke! Joke!!
Well, āHELLOā, this is NOT my āfirst rodeoā and Iām NOT a child. I DO KNOW HOW TO USE THE REMOTE!!!!
I tried, with much difficulty to explain to āSusieā what I was talking about !!! I Do live near in Alberta and know what I was talking about as I have been watching ALL news (Local and other) always, forever and ever !!!
So, late evening, as Iām still trying to just simply watch the news / local news, as one example, the local Global News so I tuned into what was supposed to be Global Edmontonā¦.,well, just disgusting, as one minute youāre watching Global Edmonton, next minute youāre watching Global Calgary, next minute, you watching Global Edmontonā¦all while I havenāt touched the Remote !!!
So, I called the Front Desk, and, unfortunately, āMariaā answers, late evening as seeing this disgusting TV, āMariaā doesnāt acknowledge my concern and ā¦.. believe it or not, she tells me āother people stay in this room and no one else complainsā¦I replied and said, well, others staying in this room, obviously, donāt know the difference as they wonāt be locals or donāt stay in the room and likely donāt watch much TV ā¦but they are out and away from the room enjoying themselves. I told āMariaā, Iām alone and happened to be in the room MOST OF THE DAY !!!!
Being I had already called the Front Desk once when I first walked into the hotel room to say their TV Guide is scrambled when this āSusieā was sent to my room to check this TV problem, ā āMaria actually replied to me, I should have called her and she would have sent a technician ???
Iām saying, āWhat?, to āMariaā ???
I called you previously to complain when I first arrived at the hotel ā¦and you, āMariaā are telling me I should have called (when I previously DID) !!!! āMARIAā, YOU JUST DONāT GET IT ????
āMariaā, just doesnāt get it period !!! I actually will NEVER STAY in this hotel because of the small rooms and, also, simply because of having communicating with āMARIAā š¤®
TV guide all scrambled. Not at all good if you happened to be alone and want to and /or have only to watch TV to get through the lousy stay in a SMALL HOTEL ROOM that looks like a closet ie try choosing local news ā¦itās a joke !!! youāll get news from the East Coast instead !!!!!
Also, to note, their Breakfast, is VERY, VERY POOR QUALITY for a Best Western...

We had business in Calgary the next day but we were also looking for a hotel to spend our 49th Anniversary at the end of August! We wanted somewhere special! This hotel is immaculate! You can tell, as you walk in the foyer, how much pride they take in keeping this hotel looking clean and fresh! I was so impressed! Teyana was on the front desk when we checked in. She was very professional and very nice, but it went much further than that. We were in an accessible room and the kindness and concern she showed for our comfort went way beyond āāCustomer Serviceāā! Our room was awesome! Of course it was clean and comfortable, and the bed was amazing, but it was the first hotel room that I have EVER stayed in that had enough lighting! The bathroom and hallway always have ceiling lights, but the room itself is usually only small lamps that keep the room quite dark! This room had several lamps, both table and floor lamps but it also had a very nice, very bright ceiling light, if you chose to use it! That lighting made a difference for me! We went down for our complimentary breakfast in the morning. Nothing better than fresh made breakfast with all the fixings! It was great! Dawn, the woman in charge of the breakfast area was very friendly, making sure we wanted for nothing! As we checked out, Lauryn on the desk made sure our stay was all we hoped it would be! Such a pleasant girl! Customer Service is obviously a priority at this hotel and is really appreciated! This whole experience was much more than we had expected! After all, a hotel room is just a place to sleep, right? Not always! Sometimes you are staying in a hotel room for several days and coming back to a dark room is quite depressing! I called ahead of time on Thirsday to make sure they take visa debit as a deposit as I do not like to use my cc unless I am travelling overseas, (due to having it used before by a hotel chain spending spree by employees) ...anyways, called and confirmed. I arrive at 3:15 only to be told by this ABSOLUTELY AGGRESSIVE ANGRY Spock eyebrowed girl named TIA, who said she was the one working the night I called and they absolutely do not take debit visa and besides my room was not even ready so it didn't matter and went on and on. I was shocked by her aggression when I told her I called ahead of time. I even had it written on my reservation notes through the 3rd parry I booked with. I was in town for a funeral that day and had also just finished a round of chemotherapy that very morning. She was extremely rude and I was left hoteless for the later part of the afternoon. I jist wanted to relax as my body was shutting down from the round of chemo that morning. I did end up finding other accommodation who were absolutely fantastic and wonderful. But BUYER BEWARE. ..IF TIA IS WORKING BOOK ELESEWHERE. SHE WAS HORRIBle horrible horrible. EXTRMELY AGGRESSIVE AND should probably not be the face of Best western. And seriously the spock drawn thick eyebrow only made her aggressiveness look more intense. I was scared. They should change the name to Beast Western...she was an absolute BEAST.
