barBURRITO — Restaurant in Airdrie

I was there last night and got some to go to meet my wife over at Edo, lets just say she made the better decision on where to eat than I did!

I ordered a regular classic chicken burrito combo with a bottle of pop, chips and salsa, while the toppings looked fresh none of the main ingredients such as the chicken, salsa (including the side order of it to go with the chips), rice or beans had any flavor whatsoever!

Another peeve I have is when they made the burrito they spread out the beans, rice and chicken, however the rest of the toppings including the salsa and sour cream were plopped right in the middle, so when eating you only got any of those toppings on select bites in the middle………….and to be honest by the time I got to the middle of the burrito I was so disappointed I threw the rest out! So needless to say I didn’t see any value in the meal at $13.68 (I would gladly pay more for better food).

I am not sure with the lack of quality and zero differentiating themselves from others such as Quesada (Better Flavour), Mucho Burrito (Better Flavour and way better Salsa), Costa Vida (Better Flavour and differentiate their burritos by smothering / baking them), Taco Time (Equally as bad as barBurrito) and more to come how they plan on succeeding in this market? Maybe they should do a little “secret shopping” and be honest with themselves on how they stack up to adjust accordingly.

Mediocre food and pretty horrible customer service.

Ordered a burrito and a quesadilla. The burrito was made first and they said that there would be a few minutes wait while more steak was made for my quesadilla. I got the toppings selected for the burrito and finished up ordering and paying at the till. While I was finishing ordering, they burned the burrito and had to re-wrap it.

I waited a few more minutes after being told they would have more steak out soon. During this time they managed to burn another burrito of the woman who ordered after me.

Finally, after about 10 minutes of waiting, they told me that steak would be another 10 minutes and asked if I would like to change my meat instead of waiting. All the while the rest of my order was sitting getting cold. For this inconvenience I was offered a free churro.

The food was okay, not bad but nothing special or worth going out for.

They looked like they were reusing a pile of trays without washing them, seemed to just dust off the bit of cheese and tomato from building the previous orders and slapped your food on it.

On top of all that, they charged me for an added side of guacamole which I didn't ask for or receive.

I came here with my hubsand and kids after a long day of work. We decided to try it out because it is "new". The menu wasn't very clear. Two 8" inch tortillas or one 12" for the quesadilla. From my understand- one order was made with two tortillas. (four tortillas total) FOR ONE ORDER. I was mistaken and when I had explained that we only needed one, they rolled their eyes and acted irritated. So I said whatever, its all good. We had three orders of quesadillas and one burrito.

I then had asked for three meals...I wanted one juice box and two cans..they gave us bottles...even though I had stated juice box and cans. After that, they gave us one fry (which was cold) and two more fries about 5 minutes later.

At this point, I was frustrated. My kids were frustrated and whining. The employees were staring at us as if we were in the wrong for being upset.

Lets also add to the fact that the food tasted blah and old. A 55$ order for us to be completely disappointed. Save your money folks, just...
