Absolutely Horrible Experience – Never Again I’ve stayed at Marriott properties before and usually trust the brand, but this experience has completely destroyed that. I checked in around 11:30 PM and was rushed through the process with zero care or proper information. When I got to my room, the toilet was overflowing with human waste. Disgusting is an understatement. I was too exhausted to deal with it that night and just tried to sleep. The next morning, I went down for the “included” breakfast at 9:30 AM, only to be told it was over—even though the front desk had twice confirmed it was open until 10 AM. There was absolutely nothing left. On top of that, all requests for towels and someone to fix the plumbing were flat-out ignored and met with rudeness. The following morning, I tried again at 8 AM and was told they had run out of eggs, bacon, and most other items. All I was able to get was a yogurt, an orange, and an apple. For a supposedly inclusive breakfast, it was a joke. When I went back to the front desk to demand someone deal with the plumbing, I was told, “This happens often” — no apology, no urgency, just told I had to leave my room while it was fixed. To top it off, I had originally booked the waterfront Marriott but was redirected (without being informed) to the Dartmouth location instead. At $1400 CAD for 3 nights, this was an absolute scam. I ended up canceling the third night because I couldn’t bear staying there another minute. This was hands-down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. A total nightmare. I’ll never book with Marriott again.

For the most part, my stay here was excellent! Room was very nice and modern, bed was comfortable, great view, quiet room for most part, good temperature control, front desk was great, hotel is conveniently located to many shops and places to eat. Unfortunately, I do have 2 complaints. The first is with the shower, and the absolute lack of pressure and door coverage. You cannot close the shower door (there is no door), but there isn't enough water pressure or water generation in general to provide enough heat to outdo the cold air coming in from the lack of door. This feels like poor forward thinking with design. My second complaint is with the morning cleaning staff. Vacuuming right outside my door at 7am, completely waking me up. Why do this so early, and why right outside somebodies door? I understand things need to be cleaned, but the majority of people (especially on a weekend) are still sleeping at that time. I would be worried about staying at this hotel again for this reason.

Check in was quick and easy. Staff friendly. We had 4 of us. 2 adults 2 kids. Rooms are huge compared to a standard 2 queen bed room at other hotels. It's awesome. We've stayed at residence inns before. Full kitchen basically. Breakfast was good. Loved that the slide is separate from the pool. Has a hot tub which is nice! Kids had fun. Just wish we didn't have a view of a brick wall and the hvac system worked. Very stuffy in the room and it wouldn't cool down good. (2019) We stayed recently again May 2024. Was a great stay again. I think the room could have been cleaned better though. Hair was in the tub and it didn't look clean. The microwave also wasn't cleaned but we didn't use it. Had to ask for more toilet paper and kleenex as what was left prior to us was mostly gone already. I'll add new photos from this time as you can't post a separate review.

Having had the privilege to stay at this hotel on many occasions, I am proud to be a repeat guest. Every visit to this property has continuously exceeded my expectations and standards. From cleanliness on the exterior grounds, to the interior common areas, and as to the private accomdations, not one visit has ever been anything less than exceeding even the highest expectations of most hotel standards. The comfort of having your own kitchen en-suite in each of the rooms, is a convenience beyond all norms. Even if you have take-out from another dining establishment, or you wish to prepare a meal of your own, all basic equipment is met in the kitchen which has been thoughtfully outfitted with dishes and utensils for all your needs. And when you are done with your meal, what else is more convenient than having a dishwasher to do all your dishes for you, or the supplies needed to do your own, in an amazingly well sized sunken sink. You even are provided a dining area to sit at and enjoy your meal. The relaxation quarters in the rooms are also exceedingly well attuned to comfort and relaxation. Big screen television also, having the most popular stations pre-programed in the hotel's digital services. Have Netflix, no problem. Just log in with your account, and all your viewing choices are at your fingertips. Ample amounts of outlets (AC & USB) that are well placed throughout your room, will make you feel right at home.

A superior slumber awaits you, with the utmost comfort in mattresses, bedding, and pillows already for you. Excellent closet and storage areas a provided for your personal items.

The bathroom is spacious beyond most home standards. A brightly lit large mirror ensures you are not fighting for space whether it be for shaving or applying makeup. Comfortable plush towels and facial cloths provided for your bathing needs, as well as a full range of body and hair pampering amenities on hand, for those that do not travel with their own. And in the shower, the trinity of Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Soap are at the ready. A large walk-in shower will certainly not have your banging your elbows on the walls found in most places.

Whether you are a seasoned traveller, or someone out for a luxurious escape from your normal surroundings, this property proves they are in business to serve all your needs and have thought ahead to ensure their facilities and amenities meet those...

This place was clean, comfortable, spacious and the kitchen had all that we needed. Great location in Dartmouth and easy access to Halifax nearby. We walked to shopping area on a few nights and used nearby Walmart for our grocery haul. Room was great and generally quiet though we could hear when someone flushed a toilet or used a shower in another room. We were on the second floor so we could also hear a hum from the ac units but not enough to disturb our sleep. We shut the ac off at night as it was a touch too loud to sleep with but the room kept comfortable throughout our stay. Kitchen was well equipped with lots of soap and dishwasher tabs. Felt bad running a load after our meal with just four plates. Would be useful to have up to eight plates, cups etc so we would not run out of dishes before having to use the dishwasher which is small and quite loud so plan accordingly. Beds were comfortable and lots of fluffy white towels. Appreciate the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower but on far side so had to leave the warm water to gain access. Always enough hot water. Glass enclosure on half of the huge shower worked just fine in preventing water from getting on the ground. No vent to turn on when showering. Some small mould spots in shower area so could use a good thorough scrub but everywhere else was spotless. Liked having lots of drawers for things and a safe in the room.|Breakfast was solid but only half our mornings had fruit and reusable plates/ cutlery so would like to see fruit daily and more emphasis on reusable plates, bowls and cutlery. Otherwise a good selection of your standard breakfast stuff. Front desk staff were lovely and we enjoyed walking around. Fitness centre was good and pool area is great but it gets busy! Large pool, hot tub and one water slide which is a bonus. Some outdoor seating is available as well which was nice to have. Plenty of parking, but spots are really quite narrow so park away from entrance to avoid issues. Ev charging is available to pay for at this location. We used the laundry but you have to pay for a card and then must load $7 for a wash and dry and no option to pay less. The front desk gave us a card to use which we returned for someone else in the future.|Would recommend and would...

If possible I will give zero for customer service. We had a late check in and I had displeasure of checking in with Mohammed. I wanted to redeem my e-gift card through Marriott Bonvoy and for some reason he had no idea of how to do it and instead of being helpful he touted company policy and asked us to pay it on our credit card. When I disagreed and asked to speak to supervisor/ manager he said that he was the asst supervisor/ manager and the only way we could checkin is by placing block on the card for full amount. At one point he also suggested that I wait in the lobby until Mon to talk to the manager. He then threatened us that he would call the cops on us if we don’t agree to pay or leave the premises. He called the cops on us to intimidate us under the false pretence that we were yelling at him. I got in touch with the customer service at Marriott Bonvoy and talked to a very helpful representative. Cops arrived and asked us about what was happening and listened to my interaction with Marioot Bonvoy customer rep and then left. The rep was quite helpful and she gave us the number for gift card support. I spoke to Michelle at gift card payment and she asked to speak with the front desk (by that time front desk staff had changed) and thankfully rude Mr Mohamed was not there. I handed my phone to Patrick. Michelle asked for details and guided Patrick on how to redeem the e-gift card and we were able to pay for our stay through the gift card. This whole process took more than 2+ hours. Management need to do better job in training your customer facing staff on how to interact with guests and not have staff in the front desk if they are not willing to go an extra mile to help a paying customer. We were treated as if we were looking for a free stay and Mohammed did not stop to think “how can I solve this guests problem and...
