Northern Lights Inn — Hotel in Fort St. John

Very rude front office person (male) during the day. One afternoon, I asked the front office man politely if the cleaners could take out my garbage as I had been in the hotel for 3 days and it was getting full.. His response to me was.... Due to the fact that I paid daily for my room via an app, I had actually missed my window of opportunity regarding the cleaners, he then went onto suggest, that if I wanted my garbage to be taken out, perhaps I should take it to the dumpster my self. (There were cleaners about at this time, as I returned from work early that day and many rooms were in the process of being cleaned).

I thanked him and left the following morning. Never to return. I have mentioned this to other contractors whom I work with.

There are plenty of decent hotels in FSJ. At your own peril, just don't end up at this one..

P.S. The hotel itself is not bad.. its just the service...

At first the lady didn't help me for like 10 mins bc she thought I was with someone else, and then finally came back and helped, after that very friendly and helpful.

Room- not so great, I have a attached door with no lock on my side, not cool, and while I was asleep and passed out, someone came into my room and filled up my dogs bowl with ice cold water. Who does that.. he's a puppy he's gonna whine. Let him be don't have to check on him. Rooms are in good condition, I barely touched the lamp and the shade started falling apart.

Bath room- the tub barley drains it was like taking a bath and s howet at the same time. Only left a half of roll of TP (good thing I didn't have t go 2)...

Do not go off the pictures, rooms aren't anything like that...

AVOID THIS PLACE. Stayed here on my journey to Alaska...

Gross. The clientele was about the most colorful I have ever seen at a motel. All nice people but holy wow.

The sheets were stained, house keeping was nonexistent. We got a "deluxe kitchen" room which didn't have soap or cups. Each floor and room had a different weird smell, the bottom floor smelled like what I thought was rotting meat and garbage. It turned out to be much worse than that and to be respectful I won't go much further into detail but the space was essentially a biohazard.

We asked to be refunded for some of the nights and spent an hour haggling for minimal recovery of funds. The customer service was weak and unwilling to budge for extenuating circumstances.

I have been bringing my workers here for about a year now because it was a cheap option, that will no longer...
