Capone's Hideaway Motel — Hotel in Moose Jaw

They took our money.

I had found this business while looking for a fun way to add to a one night stay in Moose Jaw on our way through to a family wedding in Manitoba. The price was a bit of a warning, but I figured that many a great story came out of a risk and at worst, it would be one night and we could survive anything for one night. Your establishment proved me wrong.

We were checked in for less than 15 minutes when we realized there was no way we could make this work. The train, the no walkable space for our dogs, you may want to stop accepting dogs as they do need to bathroom in green space. The place smelled like the oldest mold and dust, but the kicker was whatever it was that you call those things that you disguised as beds.

As we didn't even use the washroom we went and asked for a refund. We had cost you nothing. You could have done that, but the guy working at "this establishment" says he called the boss and the boss said no.

You should be ashamed of yourself. you are not Canadian nor what I want people visiting this country to believe you are.

I am reporting this to police and the city...

Unpleasant experience. No Refunds sign at check-in should have led me to ask to view room prior to paying. Dirty rough looking room. Filthy dark carpet. Cigarette burn on furniture and bedspread. I kept my shoes on at all times. Doors and woodwork all hacked up. Air conditioner dirty and in closet area instead of sleeping area. Bathroom dirty rusty and broken down. Ceiling gross. TV did not work. I made several attempts to call the office. No answer. I made many trips to the front desk and finally was able to track down agent who swapped out the remote. TV with other remote worked only for a short time. ||||I would not recommend the hotel to anyone as there is no reason to stay there. ||||I was nervous about my car in the lot. Another quest advised me to park elsewhere as his car had been block in and caused his early morning departure...
