I was served the wrong beer on tap, but its more about how the server, bartender and OWNER all gave me the worst customer service I've EVER had!
Asked for an IPA (which if you know beer, it has a very unique taste compared to your typical coors light or pilsner beer... like VERY noticeable difference). Took a sip and noticed it wasn't the right beer. No biggie... could have been from the wrong tap so I thought I would let them know. So I kept my basically full beer until the server came back.
I tried telling the server they might have poured it wrong, or perhaps it was tapped wrong from the keg. Instead of trying to figured it out she disagree with me. Ensured it was the correct beer as she saw it poured from the tap. (Agian, maybe it's kegged wrong... and I wanted to help)
I then went to the bartender to let them know, and again... didn't want to believe me or even try to figure it. I was even just suggesting they check the keg, as I could be a honest mistake. Still nothing... not even an offer to pour a little bit and compare the beers.
Lastly, the owner was walking by, and the bartender directed me to bring it up with him. He also very rudely didn't believe me. Kept arguing that it was the right beer and people like the IPA. We'll guess what, I would have liked it too... if it was the IPA I asked for.
All 3 people refused to even try to resolve the issue. Extremely poor customer service.
Just to double check, I ordered the Pile of Bones White IPA somewhere else the next day, and I confirmed I was correct about them serving a wrong beer.
Gave 2 stars, as at least the other aspecs looked promising, but probably inherited from the previous owners. I understand it's a new owners, and I really hope they get to improving how they handle situations like...
Read moreNot sure what happened to the place, went for supper on a Saturday in Spring at 6pm and walked in to a completely empty bar. Browns down the street was full.
One person walked in during our visit and we overheard the bartender tell them they had neither Gin, nor vodka(?) not sure, but seemed odd that a country bar would be out of any spirit.
The food we ordered was almost inedible. Burger was dry and generic, my wife’s poutine was so over salted that either of us could stomach it. My Buffalo chicken poutine was visibly unappetizing, consisted of stale cheese curds and “packet” grilled chicken - as well it was over peppered to the point of also being difficult to eat.
Server was lovely but could somehow tell we weren’t stoked. Seemed like she felt bad that she had to serve us such poorly made food. Left with mostly full plates, hungry, and feeling almost unwell. Not sure if this place is ever popping, didn’t seem to give that vibe.
Honestly, I can’t imagine how unbearable live music would be in this place. My wife and I actually agreed we’d have left had there been a band setting up when we arrived.
Don’t like giving bad reviews but this was a really disappointing experience compared to when I have been years prior and it was still CJ’s Cornerstone. We regretted...

The food here is good, nothing more and nothing less, and the facility houses a big menu with lots of variety. I personally like The Gangster burger, as it is something different. Lots of options for beers as well.
The service here is awful. I've been up here a few times in the last month, and every time we are there, busy or not, the service is slow. Last night we waited around 30 minutes to get our drinks, only to be brought the wrong order. The table beside us came after us and received their drinks before us. The house was packed, but for how busy it was there was lots of standing around and talking from the wait staff. We walked out and went to another restaurant up the street who provided greater service.
This place will not be my first choice for dining out in The...
