My wife and I were attending a wedding in Windsor, and booked the Lexington for 3 nights - June 30, July 1, July 2. Check in Friday afternoon was fine except that the access keys did not work and had to be reprogrammed. Room was OK but missing a few towels. I called down and the missing items were brought up with little delay. Wall electrical units were quite loose and our plug ins kept falling out. A few other things were damaged/broken. Breakfast was included - fine although pretty limited and I had to ask the front desk to replenish the coffee and yogurt, but for the price was OK. However, when we returned after the early Saturday afternoon wedding, the room had not been cleaned/freshened up. I called the front desk - they indicated that the cleaning staff had left, but they would bring up fresh towels/soap, which they did. They thought that maybe we had left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but we had not as the sign was broken and still in the room. Almost forgot to mention that our room keys did not work - again - and they had to come up, take lock apart and replace the batteries. The next day (Sunday) when we were leaving for a function, I spoke with one of the cleaning staff men and indicated that we would be gone for a couple of hours and could he make sure the room was cleaned. He assured us it would be. Turned out it was not. The person at the front desk was quite apologetic and indicated he would send more fresh towels up. I asked to speak to the manager, but he was not in and would not be back until the next day after 10:00 a.m., after we had left.||So we were there for 3 nights - no house cleaning, problems with the locks, no one to complain to…||Once we returned home, I phoned Mr. Devendra Patel the General Manager, but he was not available. However, he did phone back the next day, and left me a short message. I returned the call and initially he was not available, but when I told them that a $20 total discount for the 3 nights was not satisfactory, he immediately came onto the phone line. Unfortunately, he was very argumentative, bordering on rude, and when I explained what had happened and that we were not happy, he hung up on me… We are not impressed. If you are traveling and need to stay somewhere for one night and can put up with a very budget hotel with limited resources, this one may be for you. But if you are looking for a couple of nights stay, other establishments might be in order. We would not stay here...
Read moreThis business is only getting 1 star because the option to put 0 is not available. I have stayed here a few times in the past and had a decent experience until the weekend of August 29th to the 30th. The professionalism and appearance of the hotel room was very disappointing. I booked through hot wire and they were unable to give me a reimbursement. They tried to speak with management and the manager refused to even give me half my money back. All the manager offered was $10 off my next stay.
I paid $107 for a room that has urine stains on the toilet, the bathroom mirror had water marks on it and the bathtub didn't look like it was scrubbed maybe just a quick wipe down. The bathroom towels were discolored and so were some of the sheets. We had requested wifi password and were told they didn't know what the password was. There was no complementary breakfast which says so in their add. So I basically paid $107 to sleep on a discolored bed.
Before I checked out, I took the liberty of taking off all the pillow cases and bed covers and sheets including the duvet covers and placing them on the floor by the door to ensure that the next guest will actually get fresh clean sheets. I also gathered all the towels and garbage and set them aside. I was even nice enough to use my own lysol wipes to disinfect everything we had touched due to COVID. Including the bathroom sink, vanity and faucet and door knobs. I am not sure if there was a change in owner or management, but the service and room was horrible. If you want to catch COVID then by all means book with Lexington Inn. I can assure you that when you remove your sheets, you will notice the mattress protector has a yellow discoloration kinda like dried up urine. Because that's what I found on my.matress cover the morning of check out as I removed everything.
It is too bad I had this horrible experience as my past experiences were great. Lesson learned. You just lost...
Read moreUpon arriving to check in we were told our room wasn’t ready as the previous guest checked out and stole the tv. Yes, stole the hotel tv. That made us second guess our stay but we thought the hotel can’t tell wether a guest is a good or bad guest. We decided to go have dinner and then come back, giving them time to install the new tv.||The room was a “jacuzzi room” , but it for sure had seen better days. It did not smell so that was a bonus. ||first the wooden coat rack with steel hooks was so broken that the second I put my coat on it it tilted 90 degrees almost slamming into my face. My hubby took a video of it to show the front desk.||the jacuzzi tub had hair in it, we informed front desk and they came and picked hair out, I myself sprayed down the tub with sanitizer and wiped it after that as it must not of been cleaned from previous tenant ||* the lights flickered on and off when turned on||* you were left on your own how to figure out the heat.||* the tv the my just put in there went back and forth between snowy screen and regular tv, upon Investigation the cable in the back had no proper end and was just a loose wire set into the cable hole ||* the bedding had a hole and some stains and very uncomfortable.||||The staff was the saving the grace they were pleasant and nice. Will not be staying there again, one too many issues and for 119.99 for the night not...
