There were five adults at our table. Three ordered steaks, the others ordered fajitas. The Ribeyes were approx.$35-$40 per plate with tax without sides added. It came with one side. These steaks were not just marbly like one would expect from a good Ribeye, but extremely fatty. My son cut one quarter to one third of his steak to set aside because it was all fat.My Ribeye was extremely fatty as well, I was not happy but I said nothing about mine. They discounted 25% from my sons steak. If you are going to the Lonestar restaurant for a good steak, do not order the Ribeyes. I highly recommend going somewhere else for a good quality steak. We were extremely disappointed. These Ribeyes are of poor quality for sure. Their seasoning on the steaks were highly salted as well. My wife and daughter enjoyed their meal, although for the price they paid, they suggested they will go somewhere else, because they felt it was overpriced. There are good places in Windsor to get steaks with good quality, better quality at an even more reasonable price than we paid as well. I am sorry to give a negative response, but I feel people should be aware of the pricing and quality of your product and service. I don't mind paying more, but I do expect the quality of the food and service to match. Our service was mediocre only because the server was so busy. When they arrived at the table, they were courteous, friendly, and professional, but unfortunately, not attentive because they had others...
Read moreThis was our first visit so we were totally unsure of menu choices and experience. Pleasantly surprised with a Tex Mex theme for food leaning heavily on the Mexican choices. We selected the grilled and buffalo fajita sizzling platter. Skip the grilled chicken and just order the buffalo chicken as it is super tasty just like a buffalo wing taste. You might even try the buffalo and steak combo instead. Fajitas are unlimited and with the toppings served we managed eight fajitas out of the platter and it is filling so a good meal and portion for two. Cheese allocation is on the skimpy side so you will have to use it sparingly as a garnish. Fajitas are delivered piping hot in a separate holder. We prefaced the Fajitas, so stuffed as a result, with a Mexican fries. It is a smashing poutine that is super creamy. We used our free appetiser serving of tortilla chips to mop up every last delectable drop. Not a huge serving on delivery yet satisfyingly filling. Restaraunt got super busy as we sat however we never felt rushed to vacate our seat quickly after our meal as in some other restaraunts eager to turn tables. Would like to see the vegetables and meats served on the platter separated to make it easier to assemble my Fajitas however a minor inconvenience in what amounted to a solid experience for a first time visit. Would I...
Read moreGood food, good atmosphere and delicious drinks.Freshly made on-site chips and tortillas make the meal. Watching the tortilla machine is very cool but it's not always on.
Edit: 6 years since my previous review and a lot has changed. The food was mediocre. Portions have shrunk and cost has risen. 2 lg margaritas and a shared plate of nachos was the price of drinks and 2 entrées elsewhere. We sat on the patio and the service wasn't great or attentive. A couple came in after us and they were eating before we even got drinks. We didn't get any of the Sizzler member perks, no unlimited chips and salsa. It was my partners birthday and the hostess said she would let our server know for me. Fast forward to the end of our meal after waiting awhile for the server to return to get the bill - no Happy Birthday for my partner the server came out to say "I just had to sing Happy Birthday like 4 times and I have to do it again so I'll be back in a bit" We gave her the benifit of the doubt that his birthday would be acknowledged but she just came back 15 minutes later with the bill. Based on this visit I see no reason to return. We have better local buisness who are more reasonably priced with...
