I went out for my birthday dinner September 6th with my boyfriend. I haven't been to Kelseys in years, and we were both looking forward to this nice dinner to celebrate, we arrived 8pm on the dot, and the woman who seated us was not very kind. We both thanked her for seating us, she ignored it and walked away. We waited roughly 15 minuets before someone even came to our table to get our drink orders. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived so we were confused where everyone was to get us our drinks, we also sat dining side if that matters. Someone asked us if we were ready to order food at the same time when we ordered our drinks, my boyfriend got a beer and I got the blue piña colada.
Probably 15 minuets passed again, still no drinks, but our spinach dip came out before the drinks did. The spinach dip was very good though. For our actual meals, he got the steak fajitas and I got the Mac and cheese with 3 chicken fingers on top. After they brought the fajita toppings out like 20 minuets before our meals came out, they brought my boyfriend’s "steak" out. I looked down at it and was like you have got to be kidding, that is not steak, its chicken.
We were both so beyond annoyed At this point, I called our waitress over and told her that was not what he ordered and she it back to be remade. Then 2 minuets passed and my food came out, so now I had to start eating without my boyfriend’s food in-front of him which made me feel terrible. I had asked him to try a bite of my pasta because it tasted so off , he was convinced it was Alfredo sauce not Mac and cheese, so yet again we called the waitress over and told her it tastes wrong, there was also barely any sauce, beyond dry. She brought out the kitchen manager at this point because everything was wrong and he explained the Mac was made with Alfredo (would've been nice to see that on the menu instead of cheese sauce, which it was not at all, cause if I wanted alfredo pasta, I would’ve just got that) then he brought out a container of new sauce he made to put on the pasta, instantly it changed from dry white noodles to creamy orange Mac and cheese.
My boyfriends meal finally was brought out too at this time. We had like 4 bites of our food instantly asked for the bill and left so fast.
I hate to be this person but I wish they would've brought a free dessert or took something off the bill for the service and how long we waited for everything, food being wrong , the rude person who sat us down, on and the awkward environment and how DEAD silent it was in there, if a pin dropped the whole city would hear it. It was so bad to the point my boyfriend and I had to whisper the whole dinner because this place played zero music the 2 hours we were stuck there. So expensive for a horrible birthday dinner.
To be fair, our waitress was very nice, poor girl was literally running the floor herself, my boyfriend gave a very good tip ( hoping that just went to our server, not the whole building because she was the only good one there it seemed ) we apologized cause we felt so annoying… the food wasn't really her fault, and she was very chatty and nice to talk to, honestly the only good thing about that night at Kelseys. Not a good birthday dinner at all and a terrible experience. Also beyond crazy to charge $ 20.99 for literally 6 noodles in no sauce.
Will not be coming back to this location , couldn't put myself...

Bad food, terrible cocktails, awful management. Where do I begin.
Food: We we’re a table of 5, and we all ordered wings. They came to the table and we all immediately start looking at each other. The wings were like sand paper. SO dry. So we complain and the server brings some of the wings back to the kitchen. She returns 5 minutes later with the same wings saying that’s just how they are. So now we get to eat COLD overcooked wings. She told us the manager said that the kitchen staff was new and they were serving undercooked chicken earlier, so now they are overcooking to be safe. All 5 of us couldn’t finish our wings because of how inedible they were. NOT TO MENTION that the other apps and sides were awful frozen food quality. I’ve had better fries and rings at 3am at Burger King.
Cocktails: undrinkable. How do you mess up a drink with 2 ingredients. It tasted like they used a sugary concentrate that should have been watered down but wasn’t. It tasted like sugary sludgy swill. My margarita was so bad that I had to chug half with my nose plugged, add water, and get another shot of tequila to add to it. Even then it was too sweet. It was supposed to be a 1.5oz but didn’t taste of liquor at all. I’ve drank worse swill from a water bottle in high school.
Management: on top of our other bad experiences, the management here just seems inadequate. The bathrooms were a mess, we complained that there was no toilet paper or soap. My aunt went to the washroom and there was no toilet paper. We watched for 20 minutes as nobody went to replenish the washroom either. Our booth was messy, there was straw wrappers on the booth and napkins on the floor. The booths are also very small and uncomfortable. Also it was still summer and the heat was on inside. Our whole table was uncontrollably sweating. The atmosphere was unacceptable.
Our bill for our table was like $350 and nobody enjoyed it at all. 0/10.
The only good part was our server who wasn’t even that great (kept ignoring us), but compared to everything else she was ok. I honestly want a free gift card so I can at least come back for a couple beers. I’m so deeply offended by...
Read moreWent to Kelsey's yesterday (Walker Rd), and what a horrible experience! The 4 of us got Nachos, chicken strips, chicken wrap, burger, fries, sweet potato fries. The Nachos were a cheap quality (the cheapest that I didn't even know existed). We asked for extra salsa twice and each time the waitress brought a little medication cup with some salsa enough for 2 chips. She never checked on us and we had to sit there and remain "ready" for several minutes to reach out to the waitress when she passed by. Then we took half of the Nachos home as we couldn't keep requesting. The chicken strips were hard like a stone; we were all shocked. It seemed they were left overs from several hours ago that were re-cooked and served to us. The kids couldn't even bite through them. The kids burger was fresh. The wrap, OMG, was really saucy and we didn't know what it really tasted like because of some chili and sour sauce dripping out of it. To our surprise, the wrap also had pieces of the same overcooked chicken strips. So people barely ate it. The other thing was that the server left the big platter of Nachos on the table the whole time and we had no space to put our food that arrived later. Despite asking for thiig tray to be removed, it wasn't taken away till the end. Clearly none of Kelsey's workers end their management come from homes where food is served in an orderly and tidy manner. These ate basic etiquettes that people should possess. I definitely don't recommend people going to Kelsey's!!! I don't know what's wrong. I know some cooks pre-cook some of their things so it's easier in wait times. Maybe it's that? Or, maybe it's the cheap kitchen workers they've hired (mainly racialized international students) and are under pressure, while the "white" (often blond) workers serve as waitresses with their smiles and good English to normalize the bad food. Maybe it's that? Whatever it is, it's a bad place for good quality food. if you're spending over $100, and garbaging the food,...
