We booked this room somewhat reluctantly based on some reviews and photos on this website (most places in Revelstoke were full). I will echo AliceRandy's review in saying that the office was a little old, dark and worrisome. However, we were welcomed by one of the owner/operators, Jim, who was friendly and efficient. We quickly filled out paper work, got keys, and drove over to our room, and found it to be nicer and roomier than expected. We had a kitchenette room with 2 queen beds and a twin bed. The room was updated, somewhat. I wouldn't describe it as really amazing renovations by any means, but the bathroom had definitely been updated within the last few years, and it was clean and everything worked. The kitchenette was nicely equipped, and served us well. We paid $120/night, so value wise, average I would say. The location is good as well, as they are about 4 to 5 blocks from downtown on a quiet street.||||To summarize, I would say: stay here if you want to be within walking distance of downtown, you aren't overly concerned with looks, but you think that a simple room, and genuine people make the difference. I would stay here again, before booking with one of the big chain hotels out by the highway. An affordable, clean, friendly good...
Read moreThis place is absolutely disgusting. Not only are the beds horribly uncomfortable and linens/towels dirty and disgusting, the manager of the hotel is an absolute maniac. We stayed for one night after our SUV broke down outside of revelstoke. It was the last room available in town so we had to take it. I could live with the gross hotel for one night, but when the manager came to our room and yelled at me in the morning for having our dog in the room (when dogs were allowed in the hotel and I was happy to pay the $25 charge) I was not only disgusted with the hotel but afraid for my safety. He deliberately waited until after my husband had left to go to the mechanic to come in to my room and yell at me. He would not stop even when I was apologizing profusely and offered to pay any extra fee. He completely flew off the handle and demanded that I leave. My husband heard him yelling at me from around the block and ran back to intervene. I am a 28 year old female and have traveled extensively around the world and have never felt unsafe - I was legitimately terrified. This has been a horrible experience and no one should stay at this...
Read moreWhen I called to make a reservation the man at the front desk hung up on me. Then when I called back he told me it was first come first serve and hung up again before I could speak. When I called back the third time to ask questions I asked him to please not hang up and he started screaming at me that I was a rude person and get really upset. It was the weirdest thing and when I asked to talked to a manager he laughed and said he was the owner and hung up again . I also heard a lady swearing and yelling in the background. I’ve never been treated that way by a hotel/motel and was kinda scared. We found a beautiful bed and breakfast to stay at in sicamous instead because we got stuck on the highway from avalanche control on our way home to Alberta. Needless to say I was happy we never ended up staying...
