I really Really REALLY wanted to like this place. The reviews were pretty good and I was craving steak. It was a pretty awful experience from start to finish. First we were acknowledged by one person as they ran past stating they would be back in a minute. Several others walked past us, wouldn't make eye contact and ignored our existence. Several minutes pass and a hostess comes back up front and informs us they are all full on both sides. We decide to wait. We are seated a few minutes later. We are not told any specials or any alterations to the menu, we are asked if we know what we want. I go to order the Zalas Caesar, they are out of all the toppings. Alright, next we order steak and chicken. I order Zalas steak medium rare with rice pilaf. My partner ordered bbq chicken with spaghetti and fries. The food came fast enough. It was pretty awful. My steak was lucky if it was medium well, if not well done for most throughout. The hollandaise on my steak tasted like water and flour. My partners chicken was waaaaay overcooked and slathered in an overly sweet bbq sauce that tasted like original bullseye. It looked like it was splattered over the chicken and plate last minute. The garlic bread I literally bounced off the table it was so hard. Worst of all, the spaghetti tasted like it was made with sugar and cough syrup. We couldn't finish either of our plates. Our server never came back to quality check our food. We paid and left as fast as possible. Awful experience, we will never be back. Do...

I over heard her talking about how it was a great start to the day with no tip from the other customers, I had asked her if she made the drink with spiced and she said no with attitude and that she made it by her self and left the table and then came back after and asked what I wanted to do if I wanted it re made and I said yes thank you, and then her attitude changed, she then came up and was super close to my husband, as I watched she touched my husbands shoulder, and directed her attention to my husband and never once was I offered another drink only my husband. which happened three times for my husband and nothing for me, she did ask about the food which was great. she did then came and ask how our day was and we explained that we did almost everything in revelstoke and nothing left to do so she then recommended for my husband to take up smoking pot for a past time. I spent 120.00 and the service...
Read moreZala’s Steak & Pizza House is an absolute must-visit if you’re in Revelstoke. From the moment we walked in, the warm, cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home. The rustic charm of the interior paired with the scent of wood-fired pizza and sizzling steaks immediately set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
The food was outstanding — perfectly cooked steaks, rich flavors, and generous portions. The pizza? Easily some of the best in the region: crisp crust, bubbling cheese, and loaded with fresh, high-quality toppings. Whether you’re a steak lover or a pizza purist, Zala’s delivers in every way.
What truly elevated the night, however, was the service. Julia and Lane were absolutely phenomenal. Attentive, welcoming, and incredibly professional, they made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Their genuine hospitality and positive energy made our visit feel more like a dinner with friends than a restaurant stop. They are the kind of team that turns a great meal into an unforgettable experience.
