Food is decent here. But it’s the everyday home-cooked meal that I can make. I’d call it comfort food, not gourmet. It’s a place I’d like to visit when we run out of ideas but still wanna eat out. The portions are pretty generous here. Therefore very cost effective. The eggplant dish was exceptional. That’s something would definitely bring me back to this restaurant again. I really liked it.

The reason I’m giving it a 2-star is because of their service quality. The servers are doing bare minimum to serve you food. (And ordering is through the phone). We asked for a side of cilantro, the guy who served it spilled it all over my friend. You can tell he was not in a rush, so it’s not because of how busy they are. He’s just not putting any effort in doing his best job. We were really fortunate that he wasn’t holding a hot dish with soup otherwise my friend will be at the emergency. After which, no manager showed up to apologize. No compensation at all except for a fresh dish of cilantro. It’s a big deal for me at least.

Barely after the restaurant opened, the place was already full of customers. We were lucky there was still a table left for us. The portions are pretty big but the price is also a bit more expensive compared to other restaurants that offer a similar type of dish. Around 30$ for the fish and 15$ for the eggplant. I do have to say that the flavours were quite remarkable. The fish had a great level of spice, it was not too spicy where it would overwhelm all the other flavours and it was spicy enough to call it spicy as well. The eggplant had a nice sweet and spicy flavour to it. I especially enjoyed the crispy exterior that they added to the eggplant which made them go so well with the sauce. The service here was fine. The waiters were respectful but they were almost throwing the food on our table. Additionally, nobody said anything to us throughout the whole meal. Food: the eggplant dish and cauliflower dish were good. The skewers were mediocre. Service: we arrived at the restaurant at around 5:50 pm and were told by the host that the wait time would be about 1 hour. We thought it was reasonable so we put down our phone number and went for a walk. We went back to the restaurant after 50 minutes and were told that the wait time was still about 1 hour. At this point if we decided to go to another restaurant, the wait time might have been the same or longer. So even though we weren't happy, we still decided to wait. We were seated at around 8:10 pm. While we were waiting, we kept on hearing the host telling others that the wait time would be around 1 hr while she knew deep down that it was more like 2 hrs or more. To me this was extremely disrespectful of other peoples time. If we were told the wait time was going to be 2 hrs when we first arrived, we might not have waited. Overall the experience...
