We stayed three nights in room 316, balcony room with king bed. Pros: Excellent location. Costco is right across the street. Tons of restaurants in the neighborhood. Near YVR. Complimentary breakfast - Hot food: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal. Cold food: yogurt and milk. Fresh fruit: bananas, apples and oranges. 24/7 free coffee and tea in lobby. We received prompt and courteous service from the front desk staff. Cons: We wished there were some sort of privacy fence or planters that block our view from the balconies next door. We found the security lock was broken on arrival and reported problem to the front desk staff. They documented the problem. The maintenance staff came in the next morning and repaired the lock. Shower head in the bathroom is positioned too high. It is fixed and cannot be adjusted to a lower position. We wish there were a hand held shower in the bathroom. Also, the toilet sits very low. It looks like a child size toilet. It was very difficult to use the toilet. My elderly mother has arthritis and she complained that her knees and back hurt when using this toilet.

Great experience, from the time that I took the complimentary shadow from the Airport to The hotel Holiday Inn Express Richmond, the driver Dean, Dean, he was very nice and courteous,  he gave me a lot of information of how to get around the hotel, restaurants and places to visit,  The staff at Front Desk where nice and professional. The rooms are nice clean and comfortable, Breakfast was good and enough to get you started and ready for your day. I stayed here 2 weekend's in a row total of 4 nights. The housekeeper Li (both w-ends) was very nice and friendly. The hotel is well located, conveniently close to the airport (24/7 complimentary shuttle or if you are driving secure parking is available) close to the Bridgeport Station (about 10 minutes walk) where you can take the TransLink Metro, Vancouver's transportation network, it will allow you to go anywhere, either by train or bus. Next door to the hotel there is Costco, and a few restaurants that are walking distance.

Room .... for a 3 star hotel , room is well keep. I would like to suggest that toilet should have bidet. 2nd is electric kettle. I know this 2 things are important in a hotel. Like in other hotel they even provide hot and cold water dispenser in every floor. This courtesy will not cost you so much in the long run. They have breakfast and usually bread .hotcake. scramble egg or omelet. Fried potatos pork and chicken Suasage bacon. Fruits like orange banana apples coffee juice yogurt. Then coffee and hot water for teas are place near the main entrance of the hotel and is free. They have airport service which make it convenient for tourist from other country to book this hotel. Specially if you first timer or travelling along. For me as a tourist 3 star hotel is good enough , because the whole day we are out touring around. We just go back to hotel at night . So why spend a lot of money in hotel.

I chose this Holiday Inn Express because it was affordable and was close to the airport. Since my flight came in late and the next day's flight left in the morning, I didn't need much except one night's sleep.

Evening staff were great: friendly, helpful, let me know about the free breakfast and free shuttle. Breakfast was very simple but decent, given that it was included in the room price.

However, there was a weird mechanical banging noise coming from the ceiling of my bathroom. I had noticed the mechanical banging noise briefly when I arrived, but assumed it was just someone slamming the door down the hall or another temporary noise; I was too tired to investigate.

At around 4 am, however, the banging happened again and was loud enough to wake me up, despite my ambient sound machine being turned up. It only lasted a minute or so, but I couldn't get back to sleep.

As I was packing up in the morning, I heard the noise again. This time, I was close enough to the bathroom door to take out my iPhone and record it. I played it for the morning staff when I checked out, after I paid. I didn't expect compensation, but said I wanted them to know that it was loud enough to wake me up, and that I wasn't able to get back to sleep.

What I found disappointing: there was NO apology or expression of sympathy, just a nod (after listening to my recording) and saying they would make a note of it. I have no idea if the problem would be fixed or not. If there were customers waiting behind me in line, I would have assumed staff were just super-busy or distracted. But there were two on staff, and I was the only person checking out.

Since this hotel has received many excellent reviews, however, I'm assuming the noise issue may have been just my room. Tech/building issues happen. If the morning staff had been at all sympathetic (I honestly wasn't expecting any compensation), I may have still come back to this hotel, and would just avoid that particular room. My experience with Holiday Inn hotels before the pandemic have always been relatively good.

My checkout experience, however, was enough that I will seek out a different hotel next time since there are so many others to...

We stayed here prior to a cruise. We got into the airport in the early evening after a long day of traveling. We called via cell phone for the shuttle and found out that it runs about every half hour. Note there is a phone at the shuttle pick up location for calling the hotels in the area. The front desk was very friendly and checking was a breeze. Btw our shuttle driver was great and very informative. He gave us great advice on the area. The room was very clean with decent linens. It did have a huge balcony that was a little difficult to open the door to. The hotel is next to Costco so we went there and enjoyed a quick inexpensive evening meal of delicious poutine and chicken strips which we don’t have in the Costco in the USA. We slept well and had a good complementary breakfast there at the hotel. The coffee was good. After an easy check out we walked with our luggage to the train station on good sidewalks all the way. It was about a 1/3 of a mile. With the train to the cruise port we would probably stayed closer to the train station, but we didn’t know this when we booked hotels. It was still a doable walk with good luggage. We had not planned on walking until we found out how close the train station was to the hotel. Bottom line- we would...

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have been happy with the value and service. I normally have one or two travelers with me on my trips. The hotel is convenient to the airport and normally has a shuttle. On previous stays my rate has been in the $300.00 to $350.00 range.

I made my last reservation 3 days before my stay and the rate on the website was just over $400.00 with taxes.

When I checked out, I was charged $605.00. When I questioned the rate thinking it was in error the desk attendant just told me that is the rate. not very helpful.

I had not look at my email confirmation since i know the hotel and location and when I did it was at the exorbitant $605.00 rate. not looking at my confirmation is on me. what is not on me is charging $605.00 for one night at a Holiday Inn Express. It is not a Crown Plaza it is a Holiday Inn Express. you should be ashamed of this service. I stayed at this location for convenience. there other brands in the area at$270.00 to $350.00. I was by myself on this stay but I normally a couple other people travel with me when I go through Vancouver.

You can be assured I will not be staying at this location in the future. This is the worst value I have ever experienced with a...
