Edit - just read some other reviews, dunno if I just got lucky! Lots of one stars make me think you really want to hang on to this employee, and have her train new staff!
On August 18th at about 11pm I needed something to eat before I tackled the 1-hr drive home. I’d had a very long and exhausting day both physically and mentally. Went through this Tim’s drive-through and had the best experience I think ever, at a Tim’s. I have some dietary restrictions and it can be hard to find something I’m able to eat. I basically told the friendly and helpful employee what I needed and what I felt like, and she offered suggestions that weren’t straight off the menu. Might seem like a small thing, but when you can’t eat a lot of things and you’re exhausted and hungry, it’s so nice to have someone go the extra mile and sort of put something together for you. You do see ppl do things like this sometimes, but not usually with such a helpful and friendly attitude. The wrap was exactly what I needed - and it was delicious, her suggestions were perfect. It made for a pleasant end to a long day of hard physical work. To boot, I ordered 2 plain Timbits for my dogs and she threw a couple extras in. I hope she won’t get in trouble - trust me, dog people remember these things, and I’ll go out of my way to go to this Tim’s when I’m in Welland after this. Tim’s used to offer a Timbit to dogs and I miss that few do anymore. If this person isn’t management, she is management material, and I hope that her outstanding customer service gets recognized. Thank you from my...
Read moreI went in on my break from work, the drive thru line was long so I went inside. Long line up, that's fine. I worked in food myself for a long time so I get it, no worries. They made each person in line wait about 2-3 minutes before they even SPOKE to them. By the time I get there 15 minutes had passed before I spoke to an employee. As is usual for timmies, the customer service was the absolute bear minimum. "What's your order?" And "Wait there," Also fine. Whatever. Then I watch the guy making my wraps.
He cuts the sausage for my wrap WITH HIS HANDS. Not with a knife, or a piece of plastic, but literally with his hands.
The lady messed up my drink, too, but I honestly didn't mind that. I never complain or worry about the small stuff.
Then I notice the "CONFIDENTIAL" Customer info that they take from people due to COVID is sitting DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME IN CUSTOMER VIEW. That means the name, phone number, everything of everybody who was in that day could be freely taken, photographed, anything, by ANYONE who walks in.
I politely pointed this out and the guy who cut my wrap with his hands says he will inform his manager about it... And LEAVES IT THERE.
I truly believe I could not have had a worse experience, so it warrants a 1 star. I never usually complain, like I said, I worked in food for years... But this laziness, and disregard for our personal info, hygene, saftey, and awful customer service is unacceptable. I will certainly never return to...
Read moreI took my onewheel (motorized skateboard) through the drive through as I forgot to bring a mask and most drive throughs don't find an issue with it considering the whole pandemic thing. When I came up to the window I was told I am not supposed ride/walk through and the drive through and come in. Which is fair, I understand it is dangerous. I told the current supervisor/manager that I was speaking to that I forgot my mask and did not want to enter my store where they told me "you don't have to wear a mask in here, its only a by-law and not forced by the government." BTW a by-law is a law and therefor we are supposed to wear a mask indoors where we cannot socially distance safely. This person was also not wearing a mask even though her employees did have masks on (kudos to them). I mean the food was what it was, it's Tim Hortons. But considering this person is not concerned about safety or health I will not be returning here and I recommend that you avoid it as well until the supervisor/manager understands simple safety and health mandates. Thanks for listening, glad their are Tim Hortons everywhere so lets find...
