O M G!!! Blue Cilantro is my jaaaaammmmm!!! I've gone soo many times in the past few months!! Food so good I keep forgetting to take pictures!! I just #ForkDive... Sorry Not Sorry!! Food is Excellent! Service is even better! Mussels and the Salmon are my favorites! My fave server/waiter is Chaz! He is soooo attentive and cool! Ask for Chaz and give him a nice tip for me! And ask him to tell you about his "Stuck in Jamaica story when he grew a beard!" Last time I went Blue Cilantro was with my friend for her Birthday. And the manager greeted us, I told him how I loved dining there. Food, atmosphere and service! No complaints! And I will continue to go Blue Cilantro!

They really go all out here, you can tell that not only is the kitchen well run (everyone working in harmony, people uttering “yes chef”, everything made fresh to order) but also the staff are pleasant. The dining room is well lit and decorated. The whole atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. It’s really a place to enjoy high quality food and feel good about yourself. Note the Sunday brunch is very nice here as well, the menu is huge and you end up eating 20-30 different dishes for one low price. Editing to add: I really like that they bring treats at the beginning and end of the meal for free (as a token of their appreciation).

Pause reading this review, and make a reservation. This gem may seem a bit hidden, but it rivals the best food on - and off - the island. Be sure to start with the naan, which is hidden at the bottom of the a la carte menu. Pro tip: you can also order off menu Indian classics, like butter chicken. Their beef is beautifully cooked, as are the seafood options. The setting is serene and calm, even when full. Service is good, as is the wine and champagne selection. Be sure to leave room for dessert, because their sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel milk bar are spectacular. Well done, Chef Sheddy and team.

Horrible experience here for Mother's Day. I've been coming here for years for Brunch and have recommended this place to many but sadly, never again. Service and food has gone extremely downhill.

For starters, the service was unnecessarily slow - we got here at 11am and didn't get served until 12:30pm. Due to this, we didn't get all of our food until 3pm. We were not drinking. We asked for quicker service as our kids were getting fussy and missing their naps and were told dryly by the server to "enjoy it." All the tables next to us were being tended to quickly.

We also made it abundantly clear from the outset that four kids under 5 were coming - they noted it on the reservation and we were told on the phone that kids under five eat free. We arrived and were not given one high chair, though we requested these. Our children are picky eaters and were not gonna eat; we told both our waiters this from the beginning as they said the charge for kids under 10 is $45 CI. Both waiters agreed that if the children ate just a couple bites off our plates, that they would be free.

Fast forward, at 3:15pm, we were finally given our cheque and saw that we were being charged for two kids ($97 CI with grats). We disputed this and asked for the manager and were told that there were no managers on duty. Then the owner of the restaurant advised us that they would not be taking off the charges for two children as they have a "business to run" and had to charge us for the chairs our children took up. We pointed out that we requested high chairs but our request was not honoured and that also, for Mother's Day, parents would obviously be bringing their kids to the restaurant and they should have expected this. One of our waiters even confirmed that the children were not served anything but did not suffice for the owner - he still insisted on charging us. I told him that his staff provided us with wrong information on the phone and he insisted that "this never happened." He then insisted on only speaking with my brother in a rather sexist manner.

In the end, my brother got the charges removed from the tab but was threatened that they still have our debit card information and could charge us afterwards (like excuse the audacity)? Never, have I ever had such a poor experience out in Cayman. Thought I would flag for parents coming here with young children - Don't do it!!!! Run, don't walk away from this place. There are way better spots on island to go...

For the prices it offers... Exorbitant expensive!! I have not had paid so much for a dinner before and the treat we had and the quality of the food was not related to that. We really made a big effort to go there cause we were celebrating our honeymoon moon and first new years eve together.

We come from Spain with a very high culinary tradition and for the food and the attention we the got, we should not have paid the half of.

We chose the new years eve menu and we drunk a bottle of wine ( 45 $)with it.we paid for that around 470 US dollar total bill. The starters were so far ok but the main ( beef) was planets away from a such menu price meal. We said it to the kitchen and they did not react at all. They did not offer us an alternative or made some price reduction on the bill. Just ignored it untill we were finished. Besides that I got an allergx reaction on my skin because of the fish we ate in the starters and inmediately imme for support. The responsible person of the restaurant even did not came to us directly to help. He sent a waitress to call a taxi for us but one thing was important: not to the hospital!! They noticed that the other guests were feeling the problem and let us wait outside for the taxi. The staff did not want to call the taxi to the hospital directly and told uns to go to the hotel and from them to the hospital. We lost precious time cause the reaction went bigger and bigger.

I am still waiting for an apologize or a compensation. They did even not contact me to ask for my health situation: that should be included in a 500$ dinner!! Resume: from them: image goes first! . From us: never again!!!! Lessons learned: Next new year eve we will sit on the beach with some beer and a pizza. Nothing can...

I am stunned at the number of positive reviews for this thoroughly disappointing and overpriced restaurant. Do not be fooled. Just because food is plated artfully and priced obscenely, it does not mean it is cooked properly or that it tastes good. I dined with a party of 8, and each one of us was entirely disappointed by the subpar experience.

Across the board, the food was not worth the very hefty price tag (expect to spend about $100 USD per person).

Highlights: the bread is quite good and the service is quite friendly. This review is really only about the food.

Some lowlights included:

Octopus: chewy, tough, and sickly sweet - tastes a lot like jarred hoisin sauce

Ceviche: just bizarre, flavors that didn’t go together at all. Mostly tastes like jarred ponzu sauce.

Chowder: bland and forgettable

Salmon: overcooked and dry, with soggy skin, served with a cake of gummy noodles. I’d rather eat instant ramen.

Steak: served with completely bland hunks of potato that they attempt to pass off as “truffle fries,” and mostly devoid of any sauce. A bland plate.

Portion sizes: multiple diners from my party were still hungry, and at least one went for a second dinner after finishing their meal at Blue Cilantro.

Extremely disappointing experience....
