We stayed five nights here during Winter 2025 trip to Santiago (June 2025). The hotel is located just a couple of blocks away from the presidential palace so you would think it be very safe in the neighborhood but NO, that's not the case. Every time we step out to book and catch Uber, I was constantly warned by (well intentioned) strangers to hold my phone tight so that it does not get snatched by bike riding thieves. As for the hotel itself, it's about four or five floors in a 22-floor condo tower and has its own breakfast area for the hotel guests. Even though we stayed on the 21st floor, the views were not great since you're pretty much looking at other office buildings.
On the last day, we had to check out and then come back to get the baggage for our 11 pm flight to USA, so hotel staff was kind enough to store the luggage and there's a tiny bathroom to use once you don't have your room. The housekeeping even washes the dirty dishes, so they provided great service. Only complaint was the internet speed absolutely sucks. Since I'm a Google Fi customer, I took the international plan and had to rely on that instead of the wonky and SUPER SLOW hotel internet.
One more thing, the hotel has TWO access entrances - one on the busy main street and the other on a relatively quiet side street. If you're coming from the airport with luggage, you might want to tell the driver to use the quiet side street to offload and pick up instead of the busy main street where you will be competing with buses and...
Read moreI have stayed in many hotels, in many different countries, and honestly, nowhere have I ever felt so well received and so well welcomed as I was at RQ Stay in Santiago.
The receptionists Loreto, Camila and Consuelo truly made a difference. The way they receive guests is not just customer service, it is genuine care, attention and warmth. They made me feel comfortable, calm and truly welcome. It was not something generic or forced, it was something authentic that you can really feel.
About the room: perfect. Always clean, always organized, very pleasant to stay in. The cleaning staff also deserves credit, they did their job with responsibility and excellence.
Now, I have to mention the one thing that disappointed me: the Wi-Fi.
The hotel promises Wi-Fi, but the signal does not reach the rooms. To get connection I had to sit in the reception area or go to other floors where the signal was stronger. This was uncomfortable and yes, sometimes a bit irritating. Nowadays internet is basic and essential, and this problem really affected my experience.
Still, despite that issue, I repeat: I have never been so well received and so well cared for as I was by Loreto, Camila and Consuelo at RQ Stay. And that makes all the...
Read moreIt's an Apart Hotel. There is no room service, except cleaning. Pros: nice apartment, beautiful view, excellent location, very clean (they clean the room everyday, change sheets and towels), kind staff. Cons: there is nothing to purchase in the "hotel", not even water. The breakfast is actually a snack that they provide one day before (instant coffee, bread, ham, cheese, butter, juice, cookies, fruit, milk and yogurt, exactly one per person). The wifi is TERRIBLE, doesn't work most of the time, the bathroom is a bit dangerous, as the shower is inside a "bath" that is not a bath, but I think this is common in Santiago. They don't provide kitchen cleaning stuff (brush, soap...), and provide only one utensil per person (one plate, one spoon, one knife...), so you will need reuse without cleaning them. The price is too high for...
