ChengDu Courtyard Hotel — Hotel in Chengdu

I think the location is great. It's in the city center, but not as busy as a Chunxi Rd, so the traffic is good. It's right next to Wenshu Temple, so there are many classical looking, shops, tea houses, and restaurants nearby. I like the fact that the hotel has its own opera house. My family and I enjoyed the show very much (although we didn't quite understand the language), especially the changing face part, very impressive. The hotel itself is very old-Chinese classical looking so it's good if you like that taste, but it also means certain parts of the facilities can be dated including the shower tub/room. Breakfast is good but not likely that super good. Coffee is definitely below average from a daily drinker's perspective and needs some improvement/upgrade. Services overall are acceptable. I stayed here for 3 nights, but not even once I passed by the lobby i was greeted by the staff there (hello, good morning, smile, etc). So the staff just ignored me like transparent though they saw me. However, on my check out date, i asked for help to arrange for express courier of my baggage from Chengdu to Xi'an, 小李 was very helpful and made the process very easily. He also constantly followed up with me on the status, so that was excellent. Exceptional Service Made My Aunt’s Birthday Unforgettable!Our stay at this hotel was truly memorable thanks to the staff’s outstanding hospitality. For my aunt’s birthday, I ordered flowers through a delivery app and asked the hotel team to help place them in the room as a surprise. They not only handled the delivery with care but went the extra mile by adding beautiful bedside decorations to enhance the surprise! My aunt was absolutely delighted, and our whole family was touched by their thoughtful gesture. Beyond this, the staff’s recommendations for authentic Chengdu cuisine were impeccable—every restaurant they suggested was a culinary highlight of our trip. Their professionalism and genuine warmth made our experience exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for turning a simple request into a magical moment. I absolutely love this hotel for the following reasons ! 1. It’s so beautiful, it totally fulfills my fantasy of staying in a historical building in an ancient dynasty time and being a rich Chinese girl . 2. The Location is so very convenient, and I love this entire neighborhood. Very close to the temple. 3. It is very clean and quiet. 4. The technology in room ! They got JBL horizon speaker, and something like Alexa. Last but not least !!! 5. I love meeting my new friends from the bar! The drink was delicious and delicate ! And the girls I met are so friendly and fun to hang out with! Oh and they have good breakfast selections, too. I am highly recommended this hotel, if you are bored with hotel chain !
