Location great as it is near a mrt called second workers cultural palace exit D and you walk down towards the bridge. Along the way you will see lots of bridal stores and don't cross the road when you exit D as the hotel is on that side. You will have to walk a bit but there is pathways for you to walk although it is rather narrow. Nevertheless its good to have a area for pedestrains.||||The rooms are good considering it is a two star hotel and the cleanliness is good. I would come back again to live at this hotel but get the rooms on level 8 or 9. The higher the better. There is free wifi but its is only available at level 1 or lobby. If you bring a laptop or note book you get use the cable to connect to the net. They have the basics for example shampoo and conditioner etc.||||I would recommend this hotel as this a good vlaue. Overall the hotel rooms are good but if you hate cigarette smell like me as i hate it so so much. You will need to inspect the room and ask for another one if you are not satified.||||If you are going to China for the first time the zebra crossing is not a zebra cross. It only indicates that area pedestrains can walk when the green man appears. Please look front, left, right and back as there is many bicycles, motor bikes...
Read moreLocation: My friend and I decided to stay at this hotel to cut costs on taxi fare. It is a very basic hotel well situated within the Wedding Gown streets, and very conveniently situated near Metro Line 2 (The 2nd worker's Cultural Palace), from where you can reach any place within Guangzhou at 10 yuan and less. (Approximately 1.5 US dollars at rate of 1 dollar to 6.3 RMB at the time of visit). ||Hotel: All workers were very polite and really helpful with helping to direct us to the various places we needed to visit. One lady at the reception was able to speak some English. Electrical Kettle and tea, Hair dryer was provided, toothbrush, toothpaste, bathing soap given on a daily basis within room costs. Excellent internet connection, and Cable T.V, not very clear, with mostly Chinese Channels. Beautiful view of the city especially in the night.||||On the down side: The carpets within the lift looked dirty..could do better without them. The corridor carpets though cleaned daily did not smell very fresh. The standard queen room is quite small. But with the kind of rate we paid,...
Read moreWe checked in late at night for what was supposed to be 10 days but the place was such a pit we checked out the next morning and went somewhere else. Wallpaper was stained and peeling off the walls; there was plaster crumbling off the ceiling; the room did not look at all like the photos which must have been from 20 years ago; carpet was filthy; furniture worn and old; bathroom was pretty clean but had broken faucet, scum in the teapot and dirty glasses; overwhelming cigarette smell. Lobby unswept, overflowing ashtrays; entrance outside litered with trash and butts. Wifi is only in the lobby. Front desk staff neither friendly or helpful. It's very inexpensive and you get what...
