Dongjiang Roasted Meat Expert (Yanjiang Rd Branch) — Restaurant in Guangzhou City

The restaurant is located just next to our hotel and so we did come by here quite often for our breakfast and dinner during our stay in Guangzhou.

The breakfast offered lots of authentic and nice local dim sum that were relatively cheap and reasonably priced. For example, the century egg porridge was RMB 5 with a good portion and most other items like Charsiew Pao, Siewmai etc, were all nice and yummy.

As for the lunch/dinner, they offer set meal, such as Chicken rice, Charsiew or Roast Duck/Pork rice with broiled soup from RMB 30 onwards. Considering the portion and quality, it was great value for money. We loved the soup, very flavourful and pipping hot and great to have on such cold days!

You will need to order outside the restaurant at the counter and made payment and then the food would be served to you by the staff. The ambience was fine but tables were arranged too closed to one another and that made walking a little difficult. We chose to sit inside rather than tables near the entrance as the cold wind was blowing in. Service by staff was efficient.

Floors towards the washrooms were wet at all times and need to be careful when walking there.
