Shanshui Trends Hotel Dongzhan — Hotel in Guangzhou City

My brother booked us here so that going around GuangZhou sould be convenient. And it really was. We took thet train from the airport and as soon as we got out of the station, we saw the hotel!They dont havr a resto, but that's because you find McDonald's, 7/11, Kungfu(a chinese fast food chain) and so many more options across the street or in the station itself. The lobby itself has sofas, the staff is nice, there are candies and there are powerbanks for rent(if u have a qr scanner). One elevator was kinda faulty when we were there, it would alarm even though we clearly didn't rrach the 600kg capacity. The other one worked fine. Pretty safe since you need the card to use the elevator. The place also replenishes ALL the hotel things everyday-the comb, toothbrushes, razor, showercap, water, whatever they provide. The shampoo and soap is ina big pump bottle. The water is also easily controllable to make it the right amount of hot. The sink is outside, the toilet is on another and the shower idon another. Convenient if you wanna shower while your companion wants to do number 2, but there is only one door, so only one of you gets privacy 😂. The kights in the room are a bit dim, the aircon is good, you can make it really cold or really warm. There is also a footmassage thing, but you have to pay to use it. There are several hangers, an extra blanket, shower slippers and hotel slippers. The place also has a free laundry area on the 7th floor, which is really convenient! You just have to do everything yourself, but at leadt it's free! You can also take nice photos there eith the railway sign! Only reason why i rated it low is because the wifi was quite slow, especially in the room i stayed in.I had to sit outside to get proper signal. Fastest signal was in thr lobby itself. We did a short 2 night stay for my big family of 7. As there are limited rooms, we split into 4 different rooms. However, we were in different levels as there were no availability, and I found It strange as I booked It online really really early before my trip. It caused some difficulty in planning for my family but not too tough. We were not used to people smoking indoors and hotel rooms. The smoke smell was too strong for it me such that I went to buy air freshener to spray in my room. The hotel staff was able to help me change to another room for my children but I was not able to as there's no availability. The hotel's location is really convenient. It's situated at a major rail interchange. However, it is often crowded and traffic is heavy. As such, the honking from the cars is almost unending. So if you are a light sleeper, you may have difficulty adjusting.The hotel room itself is a bit jaded and it's non carpeted. The toilet is split into the WC and shower room, and there's only 1 door. So at any point in time, you can only close one side of it, and the door cannot be locked. You can only close it. WC and shower room do have mould growing. So do consider this if you are highly particular about it. The hotel has self service chargeable laundry services. They even have portable dryer for drying clothes that can be brought to your room. It's really convenient.Thus, I believe this hotel is good for transient passengers who are looking at like, one night stay for business purposes, or travelling in transit. 1. Spacious, clean room, safe hotel, good location.

2. Incorp with guangzhou east railway station, bus station and shopping mall. A lot of eatery around.

3. Toilet n bathroom share 1 door.

4. Hotel room wifi need China number to connect.

5. No safe box, No CNA channel

6. Got mini fridge / Got usb port / Clothes Hanger quite a lot about 8 i think

7. Reception rude, Security Guard n Cleaner lady nice.

1st day - I went to lobby 7am only Security Guard there, i told him no need house keeping but need mineral water n kettle faulty. He delivered to me which i dont think his scope.

2nd day - I told reception, no need house keeping but need mineral water + toilet paper. She say u go find cleaner that floor, we dont have !! I managed find cleaner, she passed me things i need n plastics bag say rubbish can put at door, she will throw for me. 3rd day, again i put DnD she even hang tissue n water bottle at my door without me request.
