Ji Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

If you can’t stand cigarettes smell, DO NOT STAY HERE. Although it stated that it’s a no smoking hotel, but there are a lot of inconsiderate guests smoking in the room and the air conditioning is centralized, which means that you will be smelling SUPER STRONG cigarettes smell in the room as if someone is smoking right beside you. We’ve called the front desk to complain about the issue. We reconfirmed with them if they are a no smoking hotel and they said yes, BUT they also said that they can’t control their guests if they wants to smoke in the room and they can’t do anything as the air conditioning is centralized. They offered to spray air freshener in our room, but it’s just a temporary solution and it doesn’t take away the fact that you’re still breathing in second hand smoke. The toilet is extremely stuffy and crampy by the way (super unfriendly to tall individuals). AND THE LACK OF POWER SOCKET IS A PAIN. There is only 1 power socket in the entire room that is convenient for guest to use which is by the bedside. The other one we found is within the hidden cabinet for television power, we have to open that hidden cabinet, unplug the TV power...

This is the first time came to Shanghai. The room of Ji Hotel is bigger and comfortable (This is a good thing). A room is clean.The facility is good but there are no safe and refrigerator. I have some problems with the reception in the front who is a man talking me on day1 at there should be improving your personality and service.When you talk with customer should be polite a little. First, I had booked the other hotel that is for Chinese only. The trip application did not provide the details that which is for foreigner or domestic. The Ji hotel is good for foreigner. With the good location near Nanjing road (walking street) and subway (people square station). The hotel has surrounded with the local restaurants, shops and local store. There are separated between the shower and lavatory, it is not convenient. The receptions are quite good services mind. The breakfast is opened around 7 a.m. With reasonable price.
