Pujing Weiting Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

Firstly, during check-in the staff was unfriendly. We entered with luggages but they were chatting among themselves. When i approach the counter to check-in. She just replied “now no room”. So i tell her that i would like to deposit my luggage first. So she allowed me to.. when we return in the noon to check-in. The male staff- Liu (name from the colleague) just did the check-in and throw the toiletries on the desk for me along with the card without saying anything. So i have to confirm its done. Then he asked me (being pregnant) to see which is my luggage and ownself take. FYI they have flight of stairs to go up in order to reach the lift to go to the room. While on the other hand, my husband is with a stroller where my child is sleeping in. Can’t believe this is the service of a 4-star hotel. Even housekeeping service, do not clear or trash and replenish toilet paper. They cleared away the floor mat on one of the day and did not replenish too. Currently there is no air conditioner working. We have to leave the window open and people are smoking along the roadside where the whole room smell of cigarette which is really unpleasant that we woke up from it. If you are coming, please take not.. they having some reno within the building where they starts knocking from 8plus so means you wont be able to sleep in.The only good thing is you can wash and dry your clothes. He went above and beyond to accommodate my change of plans and kindly offered me an upgrade to a larger room, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Everything from the bedding to the amenities was thoughtfully prepared and maintained to a high standard. While opening the small window helped to circulate some air, it would have been better if the hotel had a more comprehensive plan in place to ensure proper ventilation.Despite this small inconvenience, the exceptional hospitality extended by the staff overshadowed any shortcomings.
