Petrel Hotel — Hotel in Shenzhen

A real CHinese hotel. Hardly/none Englisch spoken. Rooms were clean. Beds are hard (also real Chinese). They asked for a deposit (beforehand) bigger than our total hotelbill. Rooms at the back are less noisy. Late in the evening and sometimes during the night, there can be very noisy Chinese people outside the rooms. They don't care about other people, mostly. ||But overall, good hotel if you want a cheap stay. We paid 350 RMB per night for a twin room. No breakfast. The breakfast offered (fee) is not eatable. Also dining is not recommanded, unless you really like the original...

Nice location, Gd service. It was recommended by my friend who is always there for business trip. I heard Shenzhen security is not good. But rest assured this hotel security is okay. It is walking distance to Marjor shopping area. It is also walking distance to Luo Hu station. There's 24hours convenient store & many nice restaurants. If i didnt forget, there's train stn that bring you around Shenzhen... Window of the World, High end shopping mall etc. I am going back to Shenzhen this Oct09, i am planning to stay in this hotel again....

Competitive priced, centrally located. Price included bfast which was basic. Room size was adequate and bathroom clean and functional. Biggest dampener, pun intended is the mould in the room, the stale air when you enter the room is unmistakable and when you look at the walls you see the buildup along the window wall. It's not healthy breathing in this air quality. If another room did not have the mould air issue I'll stay again.
