Inn Hotel Macau — Hotel in Taipa

While the hotel's location is a definite plus, my recent stay was disappointing due to several issues. The online pictures of the king room were misleading, as we were assigned a very small corner room. We had to argue with the front desk to be compensated for the discrepancy, which resulted in a complimentary upgrade for our second night.A major concern was the lack of drinking water. The hotel only provided two small 250ml water bottles daily with no option for refilling. This is not only inconvenient but also a poor practice. While I understand the push for sustainability, cutting costs by not providing essential amenities like drinking water is unacceptable, especially when there are no refill stations available. This ultimately is just leading to hotels being able to sell water to guests. The lobby area would greatly benefit from having water available for guests, particularly during check-in.A Note on Macau for TravelersAfter this experience, I would caution experiential and exploration tourists about visiting Macau. In general, the city seems to have a trend of offering overpriced hotels with small rooms and expensive food. These factors can detract from the overall travel experience for those who prioritize comfort and value.On a final note, I believe it's important for guests, especially those from cultures where paying for water is common, to start demanding free drinking water. Hotel located 12 min walking from casinos (Venetian, The Londoner…), and approximately 40 minutes commute to St Paul’s ruins, etc. Bus station nearby with bus 26 going to Macau Tower.Outdoor swimming pool opened from 8h to 18h.Breakfast was not included with the room, 55 MOP extra. Small buffet.We made a request through Trip before our arrival to have a non smoking and quiet room, and the request was rejected. We got a non smoking room but at night from 22h it was noisy both nights, with continuous noise from the pipes the first one and laundry-like noise the second one.The room was spacious, fully carpeted floor. The hair dryer worked a bit and stopped, and again.Water bottles were not replaced.We had to leave really early the last day to take the train, we asked the staff on the first and second night if they could help us call the taxi and get price quotation, they said to come the morning directly, and couldn’t tell a price. She also offered us to take the shuttle at 10h30 am while I told her we had to leave at 06 am.
