My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Capital in Bogotá, and our experience was absolutely fantastic! On June 24, everything about our stay was simply perfect, making it an unforgettable getaway.

To begin with, the staff at Hotel Capital were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They welcomed us with warm smiles and were always ready to assist with any request we had. Their genuine hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to our stay, making us feel truly valued as guests.

The room we stayed in was beyond perfect for a romantic retreat. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and exuded a cozy atmosphere that set the mood for a memorable stay. The attention to detail in the room's design and the comfortable amenities provided created an ambiance of luxury and relaxation.

The service at Hotel Capital surpassed all our expectations. Every aspect of our stay was meticulously taken care of, ensuring our comfort and satisfaction at all times. From the efficient room service to the prompt assistance with any inquiries we had, the staff's dedication to providing exceptional service was evident throughout.

One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful breakfast offered by Hotel Capital. We were treated to a mouthwatering spread of local and international dishes. The variety and quality of the food were superb, making our breakfast a delightful culinary experience to start our day with.

Furthermore, the hotel's provision of transportation to the airport was incredibly convenient. As I had to catch a flight to Europe, having this service readily available made our departure stress-free. The punctuality and efficiency of the transport ensured a smooth transition, allowing us to cherish every last moment of our stay.

In conclusion, our experience at Hotel Capital in Bogotá was nothing short of excellent. From the kind and attentive staff to the perfect room and outstanding service, every detail contributed to an unforgettable getaway. We highly recommend Hotel Capital to the ones seeking a truly remarkable hotel experience in Bogotá. We cannot wait to return in the future and create more beautiful memories!

Thank you, Hotel Capital, for making our stay a...

I was assigned a room on the third floor, which is undergoing extensive repair work on practically half the floor—completely unpleasant for any guest. Upon arrival at the reception, Ms. Alejandra and Mr. Felipe were focused on laughing about someone getting stuck in the elevator and barely exchanged any words with me.

I had received an email stating that the hotel provided a van service with their logo that departed every 30 minutes from the airport at door 5. However, I waited at 10:00 pm and 10:30 pm, and the van never arrived. This reflects the hotel’s tendency to offer services that they fail to deliver.

The hotel is in clear decay, where guest comfort is clearly not a priority. No one helps with luggage, and since the main elevator was out of service, we were forced to use the service elevator, which required crossing through the area under repair.

The spa, despite being attended by wonderful staff like Mónica, who go out of their way to serve, reflects the same neglect as the rest of the hotel. Of the two jacuzzis shown in the photos, only one is functional and must be reserved in advance. Upon entering, you’ll notice that the walls around the jacuzzi area are covered in mold, dirt, and stains caused by humidity, with no sign of maintenance. The Turkish bath is also out of service.

Although Nicolás at the reception, Mónica at the spa, and the bar staff tried their best to provide us with a pleasant experience, the poor state of the hotel made it impossible for them to meet that goal.

If you’re considering booking this hotel based on the photos you’ve seen online, be cautious—what you’ll find in reality is entirely different.

My reservation was VIP Accès. Imagine what a more “budget-friendly” service...

The hotel has a very good location. Well maintained. The included breakfast was varied and very good. I was expecting some pancakes or French toast, but it was fine. The front desk was very helpful. Aspects that need to be corrected are the hotel's phone number on the website where I booked my reservation and the email address. I had to take an Uber with my wife and son. The front desk apologized because the number was incorrect and the email address belonged to someone who no longer works at the hotel. Another detail is that they were working at the hotel, and the drill and hammer sounded as if it were in my room. Thank goodness I left and arrived in the afternoon after they had finished. Finally, the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Despite seeing the cozy rooms and their location, I didn't pay attention to the fact that it didn't have air conditioning. They had to bring me a fan, and to let in some of the nighttime chill, I had to open the windows, but that led to another inconvenience: the noise from outside and from airplanes, since it's quite close to the airport. For me, one or two nights maximum, and the fact that it's close to the airport is fine. I think on another occasion, I'd consider other alternatives with air...

First day (arrival): - even though arriving early around 9am (regular check-in is at 3pm), the front desk was able to accommodate us quickly (this gave us a good headstart for the day) - done some running at the nearby Simon Bolivar park - done wellness (sauna and jacuzzi) with my fiancee - done romantic dinner at the El Paso steakhouse at the hotel (my fiancee ordered Filet Mignon) I give this day 5 stars Second day: - at night my fiancee felt strong pain in the stomach and spent the night in the bathroom; medical assistance was called in the morning and my fiancee received a treatment for food poisoning and a prescription (out of pocket bill 65usd = 120k cop + 150k cop) - we had to change our sightseeing plans to "stay in bed" and "white diet" plans - this unfortunate event affected the health condition of my fiancee to travel 30+ hours back to Europe a day later and to be 100% fit for our wedding. I give this day 2 stars There is room for improvement from the hotel side when incidents like this happen (for example) -help cover the medical bills And there is a must from the hotel side to review the processes of food preparation and food storage. I give this unfortunate and hopefully isolated experience 3 stars overall.
