Factory Steakhouse & Lobster, Salitre, Bogotá — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

The place looks great, with an open kitchen and a very nice atmosphere. We ordered two steaks – rib eye and New York. Both were tasty, but the rib eye was oversalted (and salt is not served on the side), while the New York came rare even though we asked for medium. The beef tartar, however, was excellent.

Getting a simple side of plain rice instead of the mushroom risotto took a bit of discussion with the staff, which was odd. Service was friendly but not precise – for example, my order of orange juice was forgotten and only brought after I reminded the waiter 15 minutes later. They never helped us topping up water glasses. Also, there were only four open bottles available for serving wine by the glass, which felt quite limited for a steakhouse.

The restaurant is well decorated and has a great ambiance. The perfect place to celebrate or for a special occasion. The food was good but not great. I had the salmon with mushroom risotto. The risotto could have been softer and the salmon was a bit bland. We had a caesar salad as the starter and it was great. The star of the meal. The staff were really nice and helpful. We had a language barrier and they made sure to be super attentive and correct anything that we had issues with. We did try their daiquiri but it had a weird aftertaste. So we did send those back. I was craving a burger today so decided to try out this place, I noticed there weren't any reviews yet on the burger so leaving a review on it. The presentation was very well and the factory burger was delicious and not dry at all. I didn't care too much for the fried onions on it, but liked the other parts of the burger. The real show stealer however was the truffle fries, I ended up finishing the full serving of fries.

From an atmosphere standpoint, there was a mix of professional (maybe business travelers) and casual dressed individuals, included my self. Service was impeccable.
