Hotel Artistico Bogota — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

Been at Hotel Artistico in Bogota, for a few days at the end of August 2024. I have nothing but good words about it, starting with the organised transfer from the airport, checking-in formalities, staff friendliness and their involvement in enlighten your stay and your safetyness while in the area. The room was fair enough for the money you pay, warm water, private bathroom, the only "grey point" is the noise coming from the inner court (can be overcome by having the ear plugs with you). Speaking about safetyness: this hotel has the front door closed at anytime, being accessed only by reception. And one more thing: the taxi driver who picked me up from the airport, when I asked how much do I owe him he took me the money, but the people from the hotel apologized and returned the amount considering that they have a bond with these taxi drivers to pick up hotel customers for free. Al recogernos en el aeropuerto intentaron cambiarnos de hotel a otro a una hora de distancia, aunque teníamos una reserva aceptada. La habitación dejaba mucho que desear, no estaba insonorizada y había música en volumen muy alto en los alrededores que no dejaban dormir. La limpieza brillaba por su ausencia, no nos repusieron toallas aunque las pedimos. La habitación se quedó a oscuras por un día y medio porque se fundió la luz y no lo arreglaron. La atención del personal fue deficiente, al punto que un día antes de irnos nos cancelaron la reserva y no nos daban explicación sobre ello y si nuestras maletas seguían allí. Aún no tenemos explicación sobre esto. La ubicación, pese a estar en el centro y cerca de los sitios de interés, era un poco peligrosa para volver...

Llegamos a Bogotá sin saber nadaaaa, encontramos este hotel por Google Maps y ya teníamos reservado en airbnb por lo que solo queríamos descansar, las habitaciones son muy económicas, y esta super cerca del centro, la zona nos comentaron es peligrosa y en efecto, esta en una zona de comercios por lo que después de las 5 toda la zona esta sola, y llena de indigentes, la atención fue aceptable, son habitaciones básicas no tienen TV, y solo hay sábanas.
