Enjoyed this small museum very much. Be aware that an actual passport must be presented to pass the security gate and access the elevator. Tickets are purchased on the 23rd floor at the entrance to the museum. 6000 pesos per ticket with a bit extra for a virtual mining experience. We bought virtual experience and liked it. Your ticket includes a guide in English or Spanish. There is a nice walk through display with explainations of different types of rock/emerald formations. You are privately led through a presentation about the mining of emeralds in Colombia. Then, you are led into the room with the main exhibit. You are greeted with an amazing collection of jewels. I was the only english speaker and did not expect to receive an english tour. a lady employee was very kind to me and led me through speaking English. Upon arrival approach the counter and hand them your passport, they will give it back along with a plastic pass card to get onto the elevator.
