The hotel rooms were very large and clean.||However, I would not stay here again because of the insane amount of street noise. The front facing rooms have thin wooden doors that face a busy street directly. It is as if the motor cycles are driving through your room.||The staff was friendly enough to allow us to move to an even bigger room more towards the back. This room had a balcony towards a less busy street, and the level of noise was somewhat better there, especially after night fall when the traffic abates.||Breakfast not included.||I can warmly recommend hiking from Jardin to Jerico. The old donkey trail goes over a ridge in the mountains with stunning views. If the 30km distance is too large, you can skip the last part by jumping on the afternoon bus from Buenos Aires to Jerico. Also, the last part is over a dirt road which is not so interesting. You can spend a night in Jerico and then catch a bus back to Jardin.See review of Condor de los Andes for...
Read moreThe Hotel Casa Grande is located one block from the main square in Jardín and just one-half block from the bus terminal. It is in a pink two-story building right on the corner. I think being a block away from the Parque Central is fine as it cuts down on the noise late at night. All the rooms are on the second level and come with multiple beds, private baths with hot water, tv and wifi. During the week no breakfast is included. I don't know if there is breakfast on the weekends. Even though the bathrooms are quite small I think the price we paid was an excellent value. We stayed three nights and paid $COP 130,000. The owner of the hotel is...
Read moreThis is a great place to stay in the lovely town of El Jardin. It is a short walk from the bus stop, reasonably priced, spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy, the staff very friendly and helpful. When we checked in the receptionist gave us a map of the town and suggestions of where to go and what to do. Our room had a small balcony that looked down on the street scene below, where horses from the surrounding farms are seen ( and heard ) passing by. You really feel you are in the heart of this busy, charming and fascinating town. At night with the balcony doors shut our room was quiet and we slept very well. Altogether a...
