Set on the main square of this pleasant town, this hotel is nothing to look at from the outside. Inside, it is an attractive looking building, of the colonial era. Unfortunately, the rooms do not live up to the appearance of the interior. They are dingy and very basic, with poor plumbing; by all accounts all the showers had water coming directly out of a pipe. The human chattering reminds us of happiness, much better than city traffic noise. Actually the location is best in the square as it is the furthest away from the two discos across the square. We were there on a weekend and were watching the cowboys trotting their horses down the road from our balcony. Staff and the locals were extremely friendly. Jardin is a lovely and...
