Faranda Collection Cali, a member of Radisson Individuals — Hotel in Cali

My friends and I stayed at the Faranda Cali on a friends trip to Colombia.||The Faranda is located in the historical center of Cali, close to the boulevard and other historical sites, like Iglesia Ermita. Check in was relatively smooth and the hotel is relatively modern, given its surroundings. The area around the hotel is not the best, but they don't reflect the inside of the hotel.||The general vibe of the hotel is Art Deco. I don't know what that has to do with Cali, Colombia, but that's what the Faranda was giving. There's one small elevator for the hotel, so if you don't mind stairs, I would advise using them at least to walk down. There's also a bar on the top floor that gets very loud when there's an event. So again, if this is a problem, request a room on the lower floor.||I also wouldn't count getting any kind of workout in their "fitness room" which is a tiny room with ancient equipment and no ventilation. The bar staff also randomly come and go, so if you go to get a drink at 8:00 p.m. there may or may not be a bar tender at the bar in the lobby which is the first thing you see when you walk into the place.||On the positive side, the room rate seemed to be excessively reasonable. Breakfast was pretty okay and security is very tight at night, so you can feel pretty good about staying there.||It was good to try but I think I'll pay a little bit more and stay somewhere with nicer...

I had a reservation through a 3rd party website. When I arrived the hotel had no record of it. So I made a duplicate reservation on the hotel’s website which was confirmed. Nevertheless, the hotel had no room. Apparently two rooms that needed repairs had been forgotten to be removed from the inventory. |After four hours somehow I got a room. These things can happen - but what cannot happen that hotel staff is utterly unprepared to handle them. I had to ask several times to be offered something to drink and maybe a dinner while I was waiting for the problem to be solved. It was denied repeatedly before finally the General Manager approved (after he himself had declined). I was then offered my second night free - an offer that was not honoured at check out. |Unclear why the hotel has its inventory on a third party website, but claims to have no business relationship. It smells like mismanagement. |Unclear why no room was available and then four hours later suddenly there was.|There was no one senior with any decision making power at the hotel at 6:30 pm and it was clear both the supervisor and general manager were not keen to speak with me. No apology was offered. |All in all a regular hotel, but with terrible customer service and poorly trained staff.|My case is certainly exceptional, but if you want a hotel that can handle problems promptly and courteously when they arise, I recommend choosing...

This is the best hotel I've stayed (and believe I travel a lot) so far and I'll tell you why: Service: the staff is very nice, friendly and looking to make you feel awesome. This is a small hotel so the service is personalized. Room: everything is very comfortable with the best quality, sheets, pillows, towels and beds. Amenities: this is a brand new hotel so everything is new, there is a gym, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, spa and a espectacular view. Location: it is in convenient neighborhood walking distance form stores and restaurants. Cleanliness: 100% I can assure you if you stay in Faranda hotel you will have an amazing experience.

Este es el mejor hotel en el que me he quedado (y créame que viajo bastante). Estas son las razones: Servicio y atención: este es un hotel relativamente pequeño así que la atención es personalizada. El personal es super amable y le van a hacer sentir mejor que en casa. Habitación: la decoración es muy linda y todo (sábanas, toallas, colchones, almohadas) es de la mejor calidad. Instalaciones: el hotel es nuevo y todo está en muy bien estado. Hay gimnasio, spa, baño turco, jacuzzi y una vista espectacular. Ubicación: el hotel esta super bien ubicado cerca de restaurantes y...
