Delicious pizza but absolute con artists to foreigners.

As soon as he realised that we didn’t speak great Spanish the guy working there knew he was onto something. I asked for my water bottle to be filled up and he said yeah and took it but then brought over a fresh bottle of water. I said “no, my bottle please” he said ok and within 10 seconds he was back with my bottle. He already had it filled up, there was no was he filled it up that quickly, he was just waiting to see if I said anything. Then the pizzas arrived, they seemed small and so I said “grande?” He said yes. I went up to get the menus and his face dropped, I explained with reference to the menu that a grande has 8 pieces and we had 6, so we had medianas. He acted shocked and offered to exchange them or make two more pieces, we said don’t bother, we’d just pay for mediums. At the end the guy brought us some garlic bread with our bill which we turned down. Nice to see he hadn’t added service charge either so I think he must have understood that we’d cottoned on. I’m a pizza lover and a snob… this is the best pizza in Cali. The quality of the pizza, the thin style, it is very very good. The service is exceptional. Some people will say the pizza is expensive and small, my response - you pay for quality. The owner has a good thing going, this is a concept - he’s making pizza look cool. I’ve also had the chicken lasagna - very good as well. This is the only place I the bulevar that provides service - here’s an example: I love white wine - they typically don’t sell it but I’ve asked for it and the owner provided it. What else can I say. Foreigners need to realize that exceptional service in Colombia is rare and not a priority. Keep that in mind because when you get exceptional service here, embrace it. As a vegetarian and a vegan couple, this was surprisingly one of the best vegan pizza experiences we have ever had. The dough/crust was done really well, and the vegan cheese was super tasty compared to many pizzas we have had in the past. It tasted and had the desired consistency of regular cheese.
