Magic Garden House is located in Barrio San Antonio in Cali, a neighborhood that has colonial style architecture and the feel of hundreds of years of history. Many families still reside in the neighborhood and Yeimmy's place is next to parque San Antonio, with an amphitheater visited by locals on the weekends to see stand up comedians as well as the San Antonio church. You will find within walking distance many restaurants, bars, a cute bookstore, local coffee and breweries, salsa classes, and more. Magically, once you are inside the noise and bustle of the many offerings dwindles down and you find yourself in a beautifully decorated family guest house. From the wooden doors, to the colorful tiles, to the artwork and many many plants, you will instantly feel at peace. The rooms and bathrooms are neat, filled with little touches of care like water at your bedside and a hammock right outside your door. The place hosts about 12 people but you never feel like you are just another guest, the staff is welcoming and open to chatting about their day. Getting to know them as people, and not just as staff, was the best part of my stay. David, Marta, Olga, Yeimmy, and Soraida make this place's heart shine. Breakfast is included with your stay, and you will be pleasantly surprised with natural juice, the best Colombia coffee, and the entre of the day which rotated from pancakes to omelettes to brushetta to avocado toast. You also have options for vegetarian and vegan breakfasts. Truly recommend staying at Magic...

Read moreWhat a wonderful place! We tried a few other hotels in Cali, and this one is without a doubt the best one.
A beautiful and charming hotel that makes you feel at home. The house is open and spacious, with many large plants and a jungle like garden. It is decorated with many old and antique furnitures and fixtures that gives an authentic and down to earth feel to the place.
Sometimes hotels lack an eye for details, not this one ... There are hangers for clothes, a place to charge your phone by the bed, you can turn off the lights while still in bed, the fan has a remote control with a timer on it, there are mirrors, desks and the list goes on...
Great breakfast, the staff is very friendly and does a great work making you feel taken cared of, and so does the owners themselves.
The best thing might just have been the adoring animals, the cat Moses and dog Salomon are doing a great job at caring for their guests...
