We stayed here the last week of January and loved our two nights!||Suzy and Sean are wonderfully welcoming, and it feels more like you’re stay with friends than at a hostel. Both are fluent in English and Spanish, making our stay and logistics very smooth.||The rooms are very comfortable and clean with both of us getting two great nights sleep.||The kitchen is compact, but more than adequate and has an awesome spice rack, which made cooking while travelling a rare pleasure. ||Located just outside the main town, it’s only a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride from all the action and as you can see from the photos, it couldn’t be much closer to the base of La Piedra del Peñol (The Rock).||There’s plenty to do, walking through the picturesque Guatapé town centre, cycling around the lake for 10,000/h or 40,000/day, hiking up the 700 steps to “The Best View in the World” and certainly one of the best we’ve seen on our trip.||We’d both highly recommend this great part of the country and with it, this great...
Read moreMy wife and I felt extremely welcome entering this hostel. We booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 4! Sean and Susi were super friendly and we really felt like we were hanging out at a friends house. Lulu the dog is a great addition to the team! The shower is great - super warm. They have beers for sale but also don't mind if you bring in your own. The bed was comfortable, the hammock is great to lounge out on and they also have a kayak room rent. Views from the decks are amazing looking over the lake. It is a 2000COP bus or collectivo to Guatapé town or 8000COP for a tuk tuk. The kitchen is well equipped and you can buy some snacks, food and drinks in the shop down stairs at a good price.|Thanks again guys, we had...
Read moreMyself and partner stayed here for 5 very relaxing nights (extending from 4). Having spent the previous 6 weeks travelling around parts of SA we were looking for somewhere to just sit and chill for a few days and found Hostal Mi Casa perfect to do so. Very chilled but with enough activities to keep busy - walks, kayaking, lazing in hammock and cooking own food to save money on eating out. The vibe of the place is very chilled, quality background music during the day, with really welcoming and friendly owners Sean and Suzi. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax or a good base to explore the area then Mi Casa is...
