I went to Medellin for vacations and got this hotel patios kooling from a search and we drove there. My first mistake was to paid them for my whole stay of 21 days. Thinking that since it was a new place i would enjoy it. Far from the truth that was. A constant noise of music all day up to 11PM. They have better accommodation for people that com to use their club than their guests. The worst experience was for me that on the third day i got food poison with a chicken meal that i purchased at the 8th floor the Ocaso restaurant. From there was hell with no return for the rest of my stay. The second day of been sick of my stomach i notified the front desk. All they said was for me to ask for a Doctor to come in and for ME TO PAY FOR DOCTOR AND NURSE & MEDICATIONS. This hotel management didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to at least knowing that i got poison in their restaurant to call a Doctor to come in to check for my well-being. I begged them to reimburse me some of the money so i could've bought a ticket back to the United States been as sick i was. Not able to leave my room for the next week. I felt i was a hostage in this hotel. They didn't have any considerations on my gastrointestinal issues. Finally i left on the 29 of September. And i really want every body to know when i got back to my good old U.S.A i went to the Hospital to be treated. Found a cockroach in the midle of my room so big that i notice as soon i opened my room door. Needless to say they did all the test blood, fecal and urine. The Doctor came back to read me the results E-coli in the chicken and Giardia lamblia in the water. The Doctor told me that i was a very lucky man to survive that many days without any special treatment of antibiotics to get rid of the bacterias acquired by eating their contaminated food. And they did nothing about it. Just because they are SO HUNGRY FOR OUR AMERICAN MONEY. My sugestion as an U.S. Citizen, STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE. THE SO CALLED Patio kooling hotel. There's nothing kool about holding an American hostage in an foreign country. I need to add that i got a 5 stars service from 3 employees: Linda from the front desk, Cesar & Juan from security
In response to your comment of reimburse me 50% of the $1,375.00 This is by far the biggest lie. Your manager only offered me a boucher for 10 days with an expiration of 12 month. Wich i refused to to accept due to the fact that i was really sick and need it to be treated by a real Doctor. Also told them that " if thats all you people can do i don't need a voucher for 10 day because i was not comming back to spend a minute in your hotel"
You people can say anything you want to contradict the events against me. However the Doctor that came to my room in your hotel confirmed that it did not matter how many people ate of that chicken the piece i ate was contaminated. But you still denied the fact that it was. The Doctor in the USA confirmed that the chicken was contaminated with E- coli. And you hurting for US money people can proceed with any investigation. My banck card has already started an investigation on disputing the charges. ALL I WANTED WAS TO RETURN HOME. I WAS LUCKY TO MADE IT FOR 20 DAYS OF PAIN AND SUFFERING IN YOUR HOTEL. YOU TALK LIKE YOU DID SOMETHING. YOU DID NOTHING FOR ME. I PAID FOR THE DOCTOR, I PAID FOR THE NURSE AND AL MEDICATION. DONT YOU LIE SO PEOPLE READ YOUR LIARS. BE HONEST. The hotel staff were helpful and very pleasant. We checked out early the reception and the secuirty staff did all they could to get the cafe to give us a quick breakfast but you could see they did not want to help. Both staff secuirty & receptionist made a bag for us with a drink to take away.
Our only problem is the cafe downstsairs were you get breakfast. There were at least 5 people working there. Except for two young girls who seemed to be new were pleasant and slightly nervous. But for the rest of them, they spent more time carrying on, play fighting, throwing things at each other and sitting on tbe sofas eith mobiles. Breakfast time we ordered Bacon Crosssant waited over 30 minutes and end up with the crossant filled with cheese, lettuce and tomato, Told the guy it was wrong and he argued that he was right and if we wanted bacon would have to pay for this. Total disgrace. You only are allowed 1 beverage. If the cafe staff did not act stupid they would get bresfast out. Sorry we asked for fruit bowl as that was 1 of the 5 options you can have. We were told it was not available. There were 2 staff members at the cafe when we checked out and these two, were busy chatting on sofa they did not want to move their laxy asses to help the Reception girl & secuirty man to get us breakfast. Again thanks to hotel staff and not the cafe.
The hotel should get rid of these people and even do small cold buffet breakfast service. The cafe staff takes away the great hotel and the hard work of the secuity, cleaners, bar, and reception staff do. Enjoy the hotel and amenties but maybe stay away away from tbe cafe

Read moreI was very impressed with this hotel, I loved that it is designed for you to meet and visit with other travelers and created many opportunities to be social. I have one complaint that I will share at the end. The rooms were very nice and clean. I enjoyed my room, well decorated, soft bed, I highly recommend a canal facing room for more peace and quite. TV had access to streaming apps and lots of space. The restaurant was great, breakfast and latte included with the stay is lovely, and they had a mini store to buy items. Roof top bar was beautiful, happy hours, and the pool was awesome. I enjoyed the roof the most. Great place for meeting other visitors and being social. My one complaint (not a big deal). When I arrived I had specifically ordered a canal facing room, which I got, BUT! They put me in a room that also has windows facing the lobby! I hated that. I got a canal facing room so that I could sleep and have peace and quite and instead I could hear everything in the lobby. In my opinion get rid of this room and maybe turn it into a communal space for working or something. However, the staff were helpful and they let me go to a different room but only an upgraded one was available and I had to pay extra. They did give me a discount for the upgraded room (thank you!), however, I feel that excellent customer service would have given the room upgrade at no extra cost seeing as how nosy that room is, so that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The apartment room I got was amazing! I loved it, bed was good, lots of space, great design. Could use furniture for clothing and body lotion in the bathroom.
