The hotel is absolutely stunning overall! It was converted from a private villa into a hotel seven years ago, and you can still feel the unique charm and character of the place. Honestly, for the price, I think it’s the best and most beautiful place to stay in Taganga. Yes, the streets leading to the hotel are in pretty rough shape, but I didn’t find it to be an issue since I was happy to walk. It’s only a 15-minute walk to the beach, and I enjoyed the quiet surroundings away from the hustle and bustle.

That said, a few things may be compromises for some people. The furniture in the room I stayed in was very cheaply made and even somewhat broken. During the rain, there were leaks in the walls, so water would drip inside. The TV didn’t work properly due ro bad internet and general super pixely, and the internet connection was super unreliable, which was tough for me since I came as a digital nomad and needed to work remotely. However, given how rural and remote the location is, I can’t really hold these issues against them—it comes with the territory in places like this. Oh and there was no room cleaning unless I asked for it, in 1 week they only cleaned ones and I had to aks 4 times for it Despite these drawbacks, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beauty of the property make the overall experience totally worth it. Very unpleasant stay. The first day we arrived, hotel had music so loud that we couldn’t even hear ourselves when we were talking to them! We asked to put it down cause we wasn’t able to work/be on call or even talk to our families . This happened every day to the point where we were thinking IS THIS A PARTY PLACE or a HOTEL ? So if you coming there to chill or work - forget about it. Secondly.. the rooms were spacious and nice but we spot mouse poops around (also in the reception area) which didn’t give me a good vibe thinking that I might wake up to an extra roommate. BUT what puts us off was the situation on the morning when we were leaving.. we asked for coffee (that is included in the breakfast) and they simply ran out which happens but this one ARROGANT guy he said that WE CAN GO TO THE SHOP AND BUY IT FOR OURSELVES cause they still have hot water 🤯 ! We were shocked and immediately complained to the manager and the guy end up apologising but still no sign of coffee .. (FYI : Me and my partner both speak Spanish fluently). Another thing it’s the location.. to get to the beach and parts where are restaurants etc. is around 15 mins walk down the very bad rocky path where you can easily break your ankles.. The place is located far outside the city centre and 15min. Walk from the nearest beach via dirt roads full of garbage. When I arrived the place looked quiet good but sadly enough my experience changed my mind quickly. They have a massive open space with coaches but they dont turn on the AC and with all the glass windows it's too hot to enjoy. There is also a big open kitchen and it looked like guests could use it. To be sure I asked the person of the reception if I could cook in the kitchen. He said it was no problem. Later I heated up some food in the oven and the concierge freaked out in spanish at me for using the oven. He was super disrespectfull (passive agressive, not looking nor leating to what I had to say). I translated that I got the permission of the other worker and I tried to show this to him. He just ignored me 3 times and kept saying bad words in spanish (as if I would not understand). He did not apoligize for his behavior and I contacted the other person. He promised me the manager would come over the day after to solve this. Making promises and on top of that nobody ever showed up to discus this. The day after the concierge just acted as if nothing happened. Customer service 0/10!
