we had booked this hotel were supposed to pay when we arrive, but the hotel had contacted us and told us that to secure the room they needed payment in advance. I immediately contacted Expedia And asked them about this and were told, yes the hotel wants full payment, so we gave the hotel the full payment to secure our room. It turned out to be the worst hotel ever. They advertise that they are a hotel , but In fact they are a very expensive hostel. The hotel is on a dirt path, with what appears to be no real road leading to the property. When you arrive there is a climb of at least 40 narrow stairs leading to the hotel and rooms. There is NO HOT water at any time , the room is full of ants and even a grasshopper, there were no blankets, sheets, towels or soap when we arrived 15 minutes before check in. We had booked this hotel for 28 days , we ended up staying only 1 night. When I booked this hotel with Expedia, we were supposed to pay when we arrived , but I say again, the owner had said to secure our reservation he needed our credit card , so we gave him the information, and this was supported by Expedia. When we explained to the owner we can not stay here due to the stairs and the no hot water and bugs , he said this was non refundable. We see this hotel as a scammer, so now after leaving the hotel and trying to talk to someone at Expedia a manger or supervisor with no luck , I am writing you , we want a full refund, we are willing to pay for the 1 night we did stay , but we want the full refund of the remaining 27 nights. We are couple in our early 60’s, my husband has heart issues, there is no way we could manage those stairs on a daily basis and the the bugs that were in the sink, along all walls, and when we left, we saw them in...
Read moreWe had been to Taganga for 7 days and we stayed in the hotel casa relax. It is a high quality hotel with even better personal. Especially Christian was of great help and had done his job with a lot of passion and positive energy. He had recommended us many great places and had even undertaken phone calls to help us. Paola, the cook was pretty nice as well, as she had listened to our wishes and acted upon them. Sometimes the breakfast was really repetitive but always yummy 😋. The view from the Hotel is great, Taganga is safer than in appears at the first sight. The people are calm and friendly. All in all a really good trip, but only because of this amazing hotel! I would come...
Read moreThey did scam us.
We arrived after a long journey - with a confirmed reservation from hotels.com in our hands we were happy for a minute.. The place claimed not to know anything about our reservation - and not even exist on the hotels.com platform. The rejected us and we were left with no help in the middle of nowhere..
Two weeks after - they charged my credit card and they did that via hotels.com because I never had the chance to leave my credit card with them.
They are not just unprofessional - they are thieves.
I've tried for weeks solving the problem - the hotel doesn't answer and hotels.com claims that it's none of their business (it is).
Do yourself a favour - stay...
