Luna Caribeña Village — Hotel in Cahuita

It is important to have correct expectations for this property. It isn't the Ritz or a luxury resort - it is more close to glamping or the kind of cabins you would find in a park. We were concerned about the bugs, lack of air conditioning and outside kitchen going in however the evenings were pleasant and bugs non existent making sleeping easy and outside cooking just fine. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms spacious. The small pool was crystal clean and made for a perfect place to relax after a day at the beach. Playa Chiquita was a 9 minute walk and has a nice secluded feel. There were plenty of restaurants to walk to for our week - with one restaurant that served breakfast and dinner literally right next to the property. Daniella was a welcoming host. It would be nice if she had beach chairs and umbrella to loan for guests. WiFi was fast and stable which was important since there was no cell service. No tv in the room either. We found this property to be a comfortable and an excellent value in what was otherwise an expensive place to visit. Pro tip - the hot water in the shower comes from the shower head which must be "turned on" - then you adjust the water temperature by adjusting the rate...

Upon arrival I was shown my cabin and I was taken back at how dirty it was and run down emensly even the outside areas kitchen was old and dirty stocked with vert old old utensils and everything else , bathroom toilet was black shower stall had dirt and mould all over it and the bedroom the bed had old old covers and curtains and th whole place had a nasty stench that made me vomit I could not stay and told the proprietor that and I said do not charge me ok and she said no I won't but she did and in trying to get a refund is impossible and this is redder at its best and a disgusting way to do biusness I have informed the company I booked with Hotels. Com and they tried to get the refund but without success so I have lost my money to a absolutely disgusting place that should not be allowed to even advertise on sites of any kind whatsoever so please DO NOT BOOK HERE...
