For an intimate, peaceful, and romantic dinner, you will want to give this restaurant a try. This is an open-air building, and blends in with the natural surroundings, complete with gorgeous flowers and wooden furniture. Each table is decorated with a unique wax candle that bares all of its previous lightings, leaving a multi-colored canopy of melted wax over its base. The menu provides a good variety of meats, chicken, fish and vegetarian options. The flavors are very good and the portions appropriate for the price. The restaurant is handicapped accessible, you will need to go through a specialized gate and ramp for access. Parking is limited, as is typical for the area, but should not be too much of an issue as this restaurant is a short distance from the more populated areas. Worth the visit!

We dined here after seeing the 5-star reviews. The service is really nice and friendly and atmosphere is cute and chill. However, the food is not as good as praised in the comments. We took two entrees (patatas bravas and hummus) which were tasty. The pad thai with shrimp wasn’t our favourite: sauce is too much that it blocks your tastebuds (extra sweet) and shrimp arrives with the shell. It is not pleasant to remove shrimp with your hands from the sauce and clean it (legs and intestines included). Fettuccine with cheese was way too oily but tasty. Fish with mango ceviche was good. After seeing that I couldn’t finish my pad thai they didn’t charge me and they were kind while we expressed our complaints about the food

The best restaurant in Puerto Viejo, hands down! Every dish is incredible, but the Pad Thai is definitely a standout. The mango ceviche tuna steak, perfectly cooked potatoes, and the beautifully dressed salad are all unforgettable. You won’t want to miss the special - the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing! The mezcalita is a must-try! The atmosphere speaks for itself, and on Saturday evenings, the talented guitarist adds the perfect touch. The owners and staff are so welcoming. Whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or a steak lover, there’s something for everyone. Don't skip dessert - the chocolate cake with olive oil and sea salt is divine. Make a reservation! You do not want to miss out on a a meal here.

500% recomendado.

Feb 24th review: I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the most extraordinary octopus dish at a hidden gem of a restaurant. From the moment the plate arrived, I was captivated by the artistry and finesse that went into its presentation. The octopus, perfectly grilled to tender perfection, glistened with a tantalizing charred exterior that promised a burst of flavors with every bite. Its vibrant hues of caramelized brown were a testament to the chef's skillful mastery of the grill. As I took my first forkful, my taste buds were instantly enraptured by the succulent and delicate texture of the octopus. It was an exquisite balance of firmness and tenderness, a testament to the careful preparation that had gone into its cooking. The flavors were simply sublime. The smoky notes from the grill were beautifully complemented by the subtle hints of herbs and spices that adorned the dish. Each morsel offered a symphony of flavors, with a whisper of rosemary infused mash potato, cutting through the richness, leaving a lingering, delightful aftertaste. What truly set this dish apart was the harmonious marriage of textures and flavors. The accompanying bed of velvety mashed potatoes provided a creamy and buttery canvas that enhanced the natural sweetness of the octopus. A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil added a luxurious touch, heightening the overall experience. The dish was not only a feast for the palate but also a feast for the eyes. The artistic plating showcased the octopus as the star of the show, with an array of vibrant garnishes and microgreens adorning the plate. It was a visual masterpiece that made the anticipation of each bite all the more exciting. The service was impeccable, with the knowledgeable staff offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience was flawless. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its warm and inviting atmosphere, provided the perfect backdrop for this culinary adventure. In conclusion, the best octopus I have ever tasted was a true masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship. From the impeccable grilling technique to the expertly balanced flavors, every element of this dish was executed to perfection. If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend indulging in this octopus extravaganza. It will transport you to a realm of gastronomic bliss that is simply...

It was a very disappointing experience.. my friend and I ate here after it being recommended as having good vegan options. The waitress only pointed out one main dish or a possible salad as being vegan options, so I opted for the vegan option pad Thai. Despite emphatically requesting that there should be no egg or fish sauce in my meal I was served up a mushy mess of noodles with egg! I sent it back to the kitchen and was very clear that I was upset about being served egg when I made it very clear I'm vegan. Although the waitress was very apologetic when she returned with the egg free version she told me to check it! Hmm...surely that's up to the restaurant to be serving food as described and checking it to be correct?! Anyway by this point I no longer felt like eating it all as I was wondering what else might be in it...plus it was a mushy pile of fairly flavourless noodles...not great. At the very least I feel the restaurant should have offered the meal for free as they had made a serious mistake... beyond...

Where do I start? Hands down the best meal I’ve had maybe ever. Nothing will ever compare to my steak. Ordered medium. Perfectly cooked. Potatoes were beyond amazing. Everything was seasoned flawlessly, absolutely no need for salt or pepper. I am not a fan of blue cheese, but my partner is so I asked for it on the side and he loved the blue cheese sauce. He had the cannelloni mal, which was also melt in your mouth. Here’s the crazy part, me and my partner NEVER order dessert. We have been together for four years, and not once in those four years have we ordered dessert. We got their version of the crème brûlée, and it was amazing. Do. Not. Skip. Dessert. The service is friendly without being overbearing, and the ambiance as well as the atmosphere is so perfect for a wonderful meal. Bring your appetite. I recommend going early or making a reservation because even for a Sunday night they had a fully committed restaurant and serious. You do not want to miss this restaurant if you’re in the...
