Ok so here's the thing.... if you're in a hurry and travelling the next day by TICABUS or any other bus company...go for it. It's better than TICABUS hotel in location and access to convenience 🏪 stores and downtown San jose is a mere 10 minute walk. We started sleeping or trying to at ticabus terminal but too loud, to cold 🥶 and as soon as the last bus leaves....they disconnect the router so NO WI-FI. The night costs 18,000 colones about $3.75 USD this is December 2022 exchange rate. No breakfast but, you must go up about 50 stairs which are taller than average so 🤔 think about luggage because no one there will help. I suggest calling ahead no matter the time so that they can expect you, the street is lonely and there are a couple of junkies in the street. A cab would take you for 2,000...
Read moreI highly recommend this hotel. It is a quaint little hotel in downtown San Jose Costa Rica. The staff themselves were fabulous, very helpful in many ways, kept everything nice and clean and looking great. I will say it was a little noisy on my side only because I had the traffic side. Other than that, it was great. It’s well located within walking distance from downtown San Jose to the shopping areas, the Cathedral and the theater. Read moreReally nice family run hotel. Private bathrooms and table TV (original language can be set). Very cheap and very close to the centre of San Jose. (5 minutes walk) Plenty of places to eat in the area and parking availabilities. (The cheapest one is in the same block on the other corner) Great WiFi and a very helpful family who runs it. Stayed for a week while working on our travel guide videos on Costa Rica for our YouTube channel....
