Monkitail @ Tulemar — Hotel in Quepos

If you’re looking for heaven on earth, look no further than the lush ecological resort of Tulemar, specifically the villa we stayed in called Monkitail. The vibe here is the epitome of “Pura Vida”, the grounds are teeming with wildlife at every turn and every degree you can move your head. Want to see monkeys? You don’t even need to try to find them as they literally are everywhere here! Howlers, squirrel, white face, you name it, they have it. Looking for Sloths in their natural habitat? All you have to do is look up and you’ll find one in virtually every fruit tree. We can’t leave off the many other animals here that call this paradise home like tucans, macaws, kinkajous, oselots, and more! Besides the obvious love for animals, this villa boasts a beautiful view of the canopy and ocean. It also has its own private pool, shared only by a few of the other neighboring villas, which is very private and nestled between the beautiful fauna. Monkitail guests also have access to their concierge, Raul. He is amazing. Extremely nice, professional, and always eager to assist in any way possible to ensure your visit is nothing less than magical. He even went out of his way to get us binoculars and a flashlight so we could hunt down some kinkajous late at night. He is a gem and really the cherry on top for our stay at Monkitail. The owners Glen and Jules handle the booking process themselves so you are dealing first hand with the actual property owner and not some third party company, which makes the experience even more personalized as they have empicable customer service! I could go on forever but by far, hands down, our stay at Monkitail in Tulemar has been our most memorable and prized vacation we have ever taken (and we travel everywhere!). MOST AMAZING VACATION   We had the most incredible stay at Tulemar! We stayed at Monkitail and everything was above and beyond our expectations. The accommodations were absolutely superb and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our concierge Raul was amazing. Glenn and Jules do not disappoint! We can not wait to return...

I had the chance to meet the owners and they are the nicest people ever! Really, a super lovely and beautiful place where e everybody wish they could spend a weekend overlooking at the ocean while the sunsets... monkeys visiting the balcony and the many quality amenities at the reach of your fingertips...
