Ape Eclectic Social Bar — Restaurant in Quepos

Obviously you're not going to Costa Rica to find the most happenin' bars in the world, but I always like to enjoy a nice cocktail after some adventures... and this place is it!!!

Such fun drinks. We got 4 drinks between the 2 of us. I liked the sloth drink and the coconut (white) drink the most. They play fun/good music, the mood is fun/relaxed, and aesthetic is beautiful.

We went during the slight rainy season, so it wasn't too crowded (maybe 6-7 groups in total) -- but I imagine this place gets so crowded during high season. We sat inside, but they also have patio seating (?and maybe another area outside the main bar).

We got the pizza to try, since we already had dinner....

Ape is one of the coolest lounges/bars in Manuel Antonio. With an amazing vibe and ambiance that feels like a cozy jungle club, the music ranges from deep house, to TikTok hits, to festival anthems depending on the night and time you go. The bartenders, servers, and hostesses are great, laid back but very attentive and making sure you are having a great time. With a full bar they can make a wide variety of cocktails, and also with the local ingredients, some very tasty drinks (Passionfruit Gin & Tonic), as well as Ski Shots for the crew to celebrate. I live nearby and I go there regularly to get out of the house and eat some good food, and these people are my friends and I want them to be successful. That being said, CHANGE THE MUSIC. It makes ZERO sense to repeat the same music every night, as if you have no control, and it is really not kind to the locals as they know and speak about it. Also, CHANGE THE VIDEO. Just play some old movies or documentaries, play some crazy old movie like Shaft or Super Fly, anything is more interesting and kind to your patrons intelligence than the same fail gifs endlessly repeated every night.
